Celias cottage is situated on the Antrim coast road at Carnlough in the Glens of Antrim, N Ireland. It is an ideal location from which to explore the rest of N Ireland.The village has been largely bypassed by the sectarain troubles of the last 40 years.

Carnlough is located on the beautiful Antrim coast road in the second of the 9 glens of Antrim (Glencloy). It has a population of approximately 2000 and no industry to speak of. In the mid 1800 Carnlough exported limestone to the steel industry in Britain and to facilitate this a very pretty harbour and two unusal limestone arches were built, all of these are to be admired today. The old quarries,unused today, are havens for wildlife and together with our local waterfalls make for a very interesting stroll. Carnlough has 4 pubs, 3 general stores, 2 chipshops, post office, hairdressers, restaurant, cafe, excellent chinese takeaway, butchers and an amusement arcade.
