2 newly built 2 bedroomed furnished apartments in Monastir not far from the main centre but in a quiet residential area about 10minutes walk from the beach and a 15min or short taxi ride to the centre.The apartments are purposely built above the owners own home and is available for short or long term lease.the furnishings are basic but clean and functional. The apartments are on the first floor and have their own entrances at the top of a flight of approx 20 steps! there is a terraced area which is only suitable for hanging washing out at the moment.(This will be finished for the summer of 2010.)

the apartment is located close to the location of the Saturday market a huge busselling affair which is a must to visit to practice your haggling skills!the immediate area is a small residential village just a short distance from a local university and the local hospital it is a quiet area,secure and safe! The owner lives below the apart and speaks English,French and of course Arabic! Both he and his wife are medical professionals who have two young boys. there is a local shop 2 mins away selling basics such as bread milk water etc.

Monastir is an old town built in the traditional Arab style it consists of a small medina/souk /market,a vegetable/fish/meat market and a supermarket as well as various tourist type shops selling an array of traditional products.there is a Ribat (where they filmed some of Raiders of the lost Ark) and a Mausoleum built in the memory of the late President after whom the airport is named and who is a locally born dignitary Monastir has a natural marina and a man built one both are close to the ribat and are easily accessible from the apartment the beaches in this area are clean and again can be accessed easily! There is a golf course approx 15miles away and all tourists can of course use hotel facilities like swimming pools and restaurants(except ALL INCLUSIVE hotels)should you wish to,there is also a childrens park and zoo in Monastir and a short taxi ride away to Skanes approx 8dinar you will find Eden park hotels water park where you can spend the day for a fee of approx 8 dinar per child and 12 dinar per adult! Monastir has plenty of banks and ATM machines are widely available!

Please note a deposit of £100 is payable locally this is a damages and utility security, this will be returned to you minus the costs of your utility usage on the day of your departure. Bed linen is provided at a small charge as is a babysitting service should you wish to avail yourself of these services please confirm at time of booking! The day to day cleaning of the apart is up to the guests we do however ensure the property is clean for your arrival. Also please note that Gas Electric and water are charged at the local rate and are NOT included in the rental. As a courtesy to our guests we are happy to transfer you from Monastir airport at no extra cost.
