Historic Old St. Augustine (The Oldest City in the U.S.A) is just a short ten-minute drive away. There you can spend an enjoyable day visiting attractions, shopping and dining. The shops of Old St. George Street are a favorite. Take the children to the Alligator Farm, Potter Wax Museum, or on a "haunted ghost walk" through the Old City, or challenge them to a game of Mini-Golf. Other local attractions include Ripley's Believe It or Not, The Fountain of Youth, and the famous Castillo de San Marcos Fort. Couples will enjoy a romantic moonlit walk along the bayfront, as the moonlight dances along the waterway. The horse-drawn carriage rides are a favorite as the local drivers give a history of the homes and happenings of the area.
