La Maison Lavande is a newly refurbished house with 3 bedrooms and roof terrace in the middle of the beautiful mountain village La Garde Freinet, imbedded in the hills above St. Tropez. The house is kept in a traditional style and is fully equipped. The living room and one bedroom have an open fireplace. The house has a spacious roof terrace with charcoal BBQ, garden furniture, sun beds and sun screen. The view from the terrace is wonderful. The remote sight on some days is up to 120km, deep into the countryside of the Provence. 20 minutes by car will take you to the Mediterranean sea. There are numerous beaches along this beautiful coastal region. The water is crystal clear and clean.

The house is just off the central square "La Vieille Place" (pedestrians only), with its small shops, cafes and restaurants. The House provides the necessary peace, but also the opportunity to join the typical Provencal life. Parking spaces (public, no fees) are available in the immediate vicinity of the house.

La Garde-Freinet is embedded in the heart of the Massif des Maures, a middle mountain range along the shore of the coast. Stroll through the village and discover the church, the market place, the Vielle Place, the picturesque houses covered with wine, the old wash, fountains and the typical narrow alleys. The chapels St Clement, Notre Dame de Miremer and La Mourre are all worth a visit. The panoramic view of the Gulf of St. Tropez and the Alps is beautiful. The cross on the mountain peak above the village is a comfortable 20min walk away. From there trails continue through the wilderness to the castle "Fort Freinet" and the Roman bridge. There is a public swimming pool (outdoor), as well as a playground and several sporting grounds. The area around La Garde-Freinet is a rewarding hiking area. It offers a wide range of hiking trails. The hikes are possible on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. The tour descriptions are available in four languages and can be found in the tourist office. The village itself has all the amenities that one needs for daily life. Grocery, a colourful market (twice weekly) with fresh fish, fruit, vegetables, cheeses, wine, etc. (Wednesday and Sunday), a pharmacy, a tourist office, a hairdresser, 2 bakeries and more. Many restaurants offer excellent French and international cuisine. On most weekends during summer, seasonal celebrations and open-air musical events can be enjoyed. The Provence is known for producing excellent wines, especially the rosé. Along the coast around St. Tropez, you can find many different sandy beaches, one for every taste. Enjoy some scuba-diving or snorkling, windsurfing, sailing or just relax. Due to the proximity to 3 international airports, a rental car is all you need to begin your holiday. Air Berlin and Easyjet have very affordable tickets on offer for early bookers. A rental car is available from 200 Euros per week.
