Cisternino, in Puglia’s Itria Valley, lies in a beautiful position at a high of 393 metre. Rises on one of the necks of the Murgia offers a spectacular panorama of the valley, rich of vineyards and cultivations. The small town was elected one of the 13 most beautiful places of Italy. In the historical centre are characteristic the whitewashed houses, small lanes, stone decorations and stairs enliven. The piazza most important of the town, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, entertains the Tower of the clock, which articulate the hours in the calm paesino. It leans out on the so-called "living room of the town", meeting place and theatre of the most important demonstrations.
