Villa Glan y Mor is a luxurious holiday home with 146 square meters of floor space, standing on a slope above the village of Elounda. The name is of Celtic origin and means "seaside" as the landlady comes from Wales. The 3 bedrooms include a total of 6 beds. Furthermore there are 3 bathrooms, a living-area with a dining-corner, and a kitchen with most modern equipment. The large property is framed by walls of natural stone. On the sea front there are well-kept gardens with large lawns which frame the sun terrace and the sea water swimming pool. The pool is 55 square meters of size (5 x 11 meters) and has underwater lamps. It is not operated during the winter months. Deck chairs, umbrellas and a Hollywood swing are available, and beside there is a barbecue facility. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms with double beds. One of them has a separate bathroom with a bath-tub. These two bedrooms have direct access to the terrace and to the swimming pool. The 3rd bedroom has 2 single beds and a color TV set with DVD player. In all 3 bedrooms there are fitted wardrobes. A second bathroom with a bath-tub and a third bathroom with a shower are on the ground floor as well. The living-area with dining-corner and sofa-corner is on the top floor. It has an open fireplace and a 32 inch TV set with satellite connection and DVD player. On the top floor there is also the kitchen, and a guests WC. In front of the living-room and in front of the kitchen there is one balcony with a pergola each. All rooms are air conditioned and have central heating as well as parquet floors. A washing machine is available, and so are iron and board. In one of the bathrooms there is also a hairdryer. A baby cot and high chair for infants will be provided on request. According to the holiday villa's luxurious character, furnishings are of exquisite standard. The quality and volume of the kitchen equipment is in accordance with the villa's style as well. There is an electric hob with a glass-ceramic cooktop panel, an oven, a double highgrade steel sink, an extractor fan, and a microwave oven. A coffee-maker, an electric kettle, a toaster and a sandwich-maker are available as well. The integrated refrigerator and deep-freezer has beverage and ice cube dispensers. The pots and pans, plates and dishes, cutlery and glassware equipment is complete. The kitchen also has a dishwasher. Due to the expensive furnishing and equipment, then villa does NOT suit for children under 10 years. The owner's dwelling-house of similar type is next door. Villa Glan y Mor stands on the slope of a small peninsula by the southern edge of the bay of Elounda. It enjoys marvellous views of the coast, the Mirambelou Gulf, and the island of Spinalonga. Further above runs the coastal road from Aghios Nicolaos (8 kms) to Elounda (2 kms). Up there is a bus stop. The big hotel resorts are 1 km north of the villa between the coastal road and the beach. There are water sport centers with a wide ranging supply, and a marina. Inside the village and between the hotels there are restaurants, tavernas and shops of many kind. Iraklion airport is 74 kms away, Sitia airport 77 kms.

Elounda is a former fishing village some 10 kms north of the port town of Aghios Nicolaos, which is the capital of the governmental district of Lassithi on the island of Crete. It lies on the island's north coast in the Mirambelou Bay, just opposite the small island of Spinalonga. The landscape is extremely beautyful. The prices for building plots are therefore among the highest in Crete. By the beach there is a number of luxury hotels, and during recent years some holiday villas of high standard have been built on the slopes above. In the evening, local guests as well as people from all corners of the world meet in the tavernas and bars of Elounda. The kafenions and bars around lake Voulismeni in the town center of Aghios Nicolaos are of particular flair. Life here is more quiet and less hectical than in some other tourism resorts in Crete as the town still preserves it's original Mediterranean ambiente.
