An old building with thick walls of boulders in the traditional style, was restored lovingly and equipped with modern conveniences. It has an open fireplace, satellite color TV, central heating and a swimming pool. The three-storied house nestles against the slope in terraces. In the yard there is a swimming pool and a barbecue facility, sunbeds and umbrellas are also available. The terrace is partly roofed by an overgrown pergola from which one can pick bunches of grapes in autumn time. The living-area includes several rooms and is located on the ground floor. It has a satellite TV set and a fireplace, firewood is on hand. The house also has a central heating system. On the two upper floors there are 5 bedrooms which have double beds. Traditional furniture are combined with modern elements in a skilful way, where the modern things of course are of "old" style as well. There are two bathrooms one of which has a whirlpool, and a separate WC. The top floor has a separate entrance, an own fireplace and a balcony, and the connecting door to the lower stories can be locked. Villa Country Askifou is located by the village border of Goni on a small hill. Past the neighbouring village of Petres, a road connects Vrisses on the north coast to Hora Sfakion on the south coast. So there are excellent connections to both the cities of Hania (55 kms) and Rethymnon (58 kms) in the North, as well as to the dream beaches in the South.

Goni is a slip of a village by the south edge of the high plateau of Askifou. The plateau is part of the eastern Lefka Ori, the "White Mountains", in the western part of the island of Crete. The word comes from the Turkish language and means "cup" which is true: The plateau is framed by mountains, and it's bottom is flat like the one of a cup. The peaceful and fertile landscape is perfect for relaxing and enjoying extensive strolls.
