In the mountains where the provinces of Toscane, Liguria and Emilia Romagna meet, lies our holiday home on a 4 ha plot. This piece of land with mainly chestnut-trees and surrounded by several little brooks, lies at an altitude of 500m in the Monte Molinatico (altitude of 1552m). Because of the size of the plot and the fact that neighbours live at 100m distance, you have all privacy and enough space to roam around the unspoiled forests and take a refreshing dip in the river. The mountain house has been completely renovated in the authentic building style of the region and is furnished for 6 persons. The house consists of 2 floors. On the front side only the upper floor can be seen. The upper floor is a large room with a sitting area, kitchen, dining recess and an adjacent veranda with a beautiful view of the valley. The ground floor has 3 double bedrooms, a bathroom with bathtub and a separate shower and toilet. The house has central heating and is therefore suitable for rental outside the summer season.

This area has not yet been discovered by mass tourism, but is nevertheless not far from several places of interest. From Borgo val di Taro you can visit the famous Cinque Terre by train. The train stops at Monterosso al Mare where you are at a few paces from one of Italy's most beautiful beaches. Several other famous cities lie at reasonable distance like Florence ( 2 hours by car), Pisa (1,45 hours by car), Bologna (1,5 hours by car) and Milan (1,45 hours)

Our holiday home is situated in Baselica, a hamlet consisting of a pizza restaurant, a church and a few houses scattered in the mountains. Baselica is part of the municipality of Borog Val di Taro. This municipality lies at 10 km distance and here is where you find several facilities like a swimming-pool, hospital, railway station, several shops and cosy terraces. The area is mainly famous for its Funghi Porcini, but as part of the Parma province it is at the same time the region of the famous Parma ham and the Parmezan cheese. There are plenty of restaurants where you can enjoy the local specialities
