It is a new 77m2 apartment with two large rooms and a main Kitchen/Living room area. The house was constructed in 2006. There is a big balcony providing excellent view of the sea and good monitoring of the swimming pool in case your children play there. The swimming pool has a separate section (which has a protection door)for young children. During spring time tomatoes and strawberries where planted, hopefully during summertime we'll crop. The apartment has all the accessories needed including washing machine, oven with grill, iron, fridge, freezer, towels, bed linen sheets, blankets,warm water boiler and fireplace. 2 Bicycles are also provided. The apartment is ideal for families as well as for young people. You can find a big hotel at a 500m distance which provides all the comforts and activities that younger people seek including water sports, tennis, night clubs and in general more active fun. The beach is a 100m from the premises. Very clean transparent waters and a sandy beach characterise it (+ active beach volley court). For the ones who want to spend some more private swimming time there are secluded rocky beaches 200m-400m to the East. The apartment also provides a garden shower in case you want to remain outdoors but like to remove the sea salt. Behind the apartment (to the North) you will find two hills and two small lakes which provide hiking opportunities (check Google earth for the lakes). All necessary shops are a 500m walk from the premises where you find the centre of the village. Good restaurants and tavern's with plenty fresh fish at affordable prices are available. Super Market, Bakery, Bar's & Night Clubs are all at walking distance. For a more touristy look at the birthplace of Aristotle (Chalkidiki) you can rent a car and visit touristy areas nearby. Advise on the "must visit" places will be given by the owner (archaeological sites, warm healing springs -natural spa's-), nightlife, traditional monasteries, hiking routes to pick oregano to bring home, places to buy excellent forest honey, best souvlaki spots etc etc). A good choice for your vacation. Be careful, the map on the ferienhausmiete website is not locating correctly the house. Its very easy to find if you come with your own transport. Its nearly a straight line. In the Centre of Thessaloniki find your way to Egnatia Street and go towards the east (towards the airport) keep on going on Egnatia street. You will find a number of traffic lights but keep on that road, it has three lanes (one of them is usually occupied by parked cars). At some point the road changes its name to "K. Karamanlis str" but that should not trouble you since you do not alter your direction. At a point you will find signs in front of you prompting you to go straight to the highway toward the airport and chalkidiki. Follow them and you'll be on the main highway to N.Moudania. Zero your km counter, approx after 50km you'll turn right to the junction towards "Polygyros" and continue straight until you find Gerakini. In case you come with a plane: After you reach Thessaloniki Airport call me, I'll pick you up and take you to the apartment. Thessaloniki (2nd largest city of Greece) is a 45-50 minutes drive by car. Rent a car / bike service is available at a 500m distance from the premises. There is a bus connection from and to Thessaloniki approx. 8 euros adult one way ticket. Tourist advise and guidance for Thessaloniki itself will be also given if requested.

Additional Information

It is a peacefull neighborhood with many young families and kids. Ideal for letting the children play around. Very close to the sea beach volley etc. The house is new. Excellent sea view and big balcony. Can put the music very loud. Great sea side, lots of water sports, big hotel half a km away, nightlife, discount for long stay.
