The residence Mer et Soleil is located on one of the most charming promontories of the Western Sicilian Coast, only 10 Km. from the inner city of Palermo, with view on the Gulf of Capo Zafferano. It is made up of confortable and utilitarian bungalows and apartments. They are equipped with an indipendent kitchen complete with accessories, living room, bedrooms with private bathroom, telephone, Sat-TV, wide terraces or furnished verandas, view on the sea. Differentiation of domiciles: 1. Bilocale (always bungalow): with one bedroom (double bed, closet, TV, telephone), living room (with kitchenette/ fitted kitchen), large furnished patio. Additional bed is possible. 30 qm, suitable for 2 – 3 people, ideal for small families or couples. 2. Trilocale (always bungalow – only 1 trilo bungalow) or apartment on the ground floor with 2 bedrooms (each with one double bed, closets, TV, telephone). Three toilets with shower, living room, complete kitchen, furnished patio, additional bed possible, approx. 65 qm for 4 – 7 people. 3. Quadrilocale: Equipped just as Trilocale but with additional bedroom and a toilet/ shower, suitable for 6 – 10 people. 4. The Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Swabians, Angevins and Aragonese made Sicily their own, leaving behind an eclectic history that you can still touch today. And Sicily will touch you. Sicily is Europe, Africa and Asia on one island. We have been organising our language courses for 20 years in two places here in Sicily. Our school organizes a free excursion to the ancient remains of Solunto which was one of the main Punic towns in western Sicily, along with Motia and Palermo. According to the students' interests, the school offers cheap entertaining activities such as a Sicilian cookery course, excursions by mountain bike, guided tours in the surrounding mountains, trips by boat, a pottery course, diving course and a guided social cultural tour of Palermo; in addition, the students will also be able to practice some sports and, upon request, we will be glad to organise trips to Erice, Segesta, Etna, Taormina, Agrigento, etc. . . The mildness of Sicily's climate and the original character of the Sicilian people will make the stay in sicily a unique and fascinating experience.
