Our villa, which we simply mentioned “La Maison”, is situated in a calm quarter (dead end street) of the charming village Pontenx Les Forges approximately half way between Bordeaux and Biarritz, 15 km east of Mimizan Plage. The villa was built in 2002 on a completely secluded terrain of 3,300 M ². We acquired the villa in 2004 and have experienced three seasons of happy holiday makers (references can be provided upon request). All furniture was acquired in 2004. In accordance with French legislation we had the swimming pool professinally fenced off - for optimal security. Downstairs you will find sliding double glazed doors (plus electric shutters), providing access from the lounge and kitchen on to the terrace. The terrace which is very sizeable also includes a barbecue area. Inside the villa you will find tiles on all floors. The villa is very completely furnished for 10 persons. No pets and no smoking allowed. Particularly suitably for e.g. 2 families with children, or a family with 3 generations.In the villa you have the following available: Washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, electric cooktop with 4 high performance elements, dual convection oven, microwave, 34” Sony Flat Screen, Home Cinema System (HiFi, DVD), 13’TV VHS in one of the parents’ bedrooms, 2 double beds, 6 single beds, baby bed, baby chair, large cupboards in all rooms. Garden furniture, sun loungers, parasols etc.

Sun, nature, peace, pine tree forests, small villages, cycle paths through the forests and huge, clean and well maintained fine sandy beaches supervised during the season. The waves of the Atlantic offer ideal conditions for Surfing. Clean and intact nature loads to free air activities such as hiking, cycling, surfing,horse riding etc. And the large calm lakes (there is a beautiful one at 4 miles distance) entice to bathing and sailing. In addition Aquitaine is one of the best gulf areas of France. Here you find many nature-beautiful golf courses of high, international quality. At these places can be played from March to November. Day tours to Bordeaux and the surrounding wine area (please visit the medieval St. Emilion), as well as to Biarritz and the citadel of San Sebastian, just across the border are almost a "must".

Additional Information

Renting prices as mentioned on the owner's website (www.alliedproperty.net)are applicable, irrespective the number of visitors (maximum 10, babies included). During peak season, renting will only be possible for a period of 2 weeks (or multiple thereof). Unless agreed differently, renting will commence on Saturdays after 04.30 p.m. and will finish on a Saturday at 10.00 a.m. (allowing time for preparing the villa for the next group of guests). The following additional charges apply: for electricity € 0,15 per kWh. For cleaning the villa at the end of your stay: € 80. For use of bed linen and towels (2 per person for duration of stay, not to be used outside the villa), a charge of € 12 per person will apply. Extra sets of bed linen/towels can be obtained at a rate of € 12 per person. Upon arrival a cash deposit of € 500 will be due to the care taker which deposit will be refund after deduction of charges at the last day of your stay.
