This superb Italian holiday house is an old limestone building, situated in the Historic Centre, of the picturesque and lively town of Monopoli. The house has four floors and roof terrace. The house has two hundred years' of history. Its traditional construction, with thick walls of natural stones, makes it a superb place to stay and live in. All the rooms have vaulted ceilings which give a feeling of space and air. Like many urban dwellings in Italy has high ceilings and combined with the thick walls - prevents excessive heat and is therefore cool even on the hottest summer days. RATES DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF GUESTS (UP TO 8, 9 TO 10) Rates showed refer to 5 to 8 guests.

From the terrace there are wonderful panoramic views. You can look down on neighbouring roof terraces, or watch the day to day life in the streets below. You can admire the old town skyline with its many church-towers and in the distance the Adriatic sea shimmers. Almost within touching distance is the cupola of the nearest church, the Purtgatorio, which gives its name to our small street Via Purgatorio. Just behind Purgatorio rises the tower of the Cathedral, the pearl of Monopoli.

From the Greek “Mono-polis”, unique town, it was a little village of the "Peucezia" Apulia next to another important village of the Land, "Gnatia". Today Monopoli is a very nice town on the sea, famous, apart for its beaches and clean waters, also for its baroque churches. The town grew considerably in the Baroque period, whit the twelfth-century cathedral given new facades, while many noble houses were built, among them the lovely Palmieri mansion. The historic-artistic heritage is notable, starting with the lovely historic centre - its old houses facing onto quays, giving a clear impression of medieval landing stages - and the cathedral, one of the most interesting examples of Apulian Baroque. A hard-working agricultural and fishing town, Monopoli has developed a strong touristic vocation in recent years: in fact, the jagged coastline has many enchanting bays.

RATES DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF GUESTS (UP TO 8, 9 TO 10) Balance is due cash at the beginning of holiday after the check-in with the manager/owner, if you are not able to pay cash, you should pay the total amount by bank transfer before your arrival (cheques and travellers cheque are not allowed). Due to security and legal reasons law we will check-in only guests who have compiled our booking-form and agreement. Security deposit by credit card. Please be sure to leave the house in good condition. No pets. Final cleaning mandatory EUR 75/100. Free weekly intermediate cleanings and change of linen&towels. Arrival time is mandatory in the afternoon between 4pm and 8pm (unless otherwise agreed). At arrival later than 8pm an extra charge will be applied. Please advise us of your departure time at least 24 hours before. The check-out must be taken not later than 10 am. Electricity is included. Bed linen and bath towels - EUR 10 per person. Free weekly intermediate cleanings / change of linen&towels Heating - if used - is billed at EUR 50/75 per week.
