Beautiful, ancient castle where wine is still made and sold. A wine tasting and tour of the castle belongs to the possibilities. Nice base for trips to Mediterranean, Cinque Terre, and places like Acqui Terme, Alba and Asti. Wifi available, adequate space, beautiful surroundings. Marquis Lucca Pinelli Gentile is a very nice host who speaks excellent English. It was a very nice stay.

The location is unbeatable: an ancient castle with a few houses around it. Lord of the castle Luca (20th generation!) personally welcomed us with warmth and enthusiasm, in excellent English.
Our apartment had a cozy living room, a tiny kitchenette, a new bathroom and two spacious bedrooms. Of course it's a medieval building, so everything is a bit crooked, but that's part of the charm. And it stays nice and cool inside because of the thick walls. The (shared) courtyard garden has a beautiful view; there is lighting for the evening and there are tables and chairs with cushions.
Luca is happy to give a personal tour with wine tasting.
We had a wonderful stay.

We were very warmly welcomed by the owner. The atmospheric environment gave us an immediate holiday feeling. The big (beautiful) enclosed garden was great garden chairs and a barbecue. The apartment was fine, spacious kitchen. We have several times visited the beach (half hour drive) and are further in Genoa (three quarters) and Turin (been over an hour). Beautiful area with lots to see. The village has a bakery. The (large) supermarket is five minutes drive away. For children there is not much to do in the village. A must for those who like peace and quiet!
