It is located off north-eastern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and is the only Island in the Caribbean that has more than 40 km of unspoiled beaches. The sea in Holbox has countless shades of blue, playful dolphins, gigantic fish and very pink flamingos. In this tropical paradise the temperature rarely rises above 86 (30°C) or below 80 (25°C) throughout the year. Holbox island is a nature reserve with only one small, authentic fishing village (also called Holbox) where people enjoy a cheerful and simple lifestyle where its inhabitants are determined to keep this paradise unspoiled.
