As you pass the almost ancient Sailors' Church, it's best to step inside: The nearly 300-year-old church once served as a guide for sailors, and its interior still tells exciting stories of seafaring today. If you have booked a private vacation apartment in Prerow, a trip to the beautiful surroundings is a must. In the Darßer Forest in the National Park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft, many hiking trails beckon, such as the Herb Trail. On your hike through the breathtaking landscape, you will surely find the Darßer Ort Lighthouse. 134 steps lead you up there, where you have a great view over the Darß and the sea. Between May and October, you can climb the tower daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. (As of August 2023) A great coastal panorama also opens up from the Prerower High Dune. Although it is only 13 meters high, it offers the best view of Prerow's North Beach and the nearby surroundings in good weather.
