The Liakoto Villa house includes: luxurious accommodation for up to four guests, two bedrooms with a double bed and bathroom, a kitchen/living room area with fire place, fully equipped kitchen, complete with large fridge-freezer, full cooker, kettle, coffee percolator, micro-oven, toaster, washing machine and iron, ironing-board, air conditioning (also provides heating in the cooler months), satellite colour television, portable radio and a cassette/CD player, maid service one times per week, a well-stocked larder ready for your arrival including: bread, butter, cheese, milk, yogurt, jam, tea, coffee, sugar, fruits, soft drinks, a bottle wine and one bottle extra virgin olive oil.

The little seaside resort of Makrigialos, 25 km east of the lively town of Ierapetra on the Libyan Sea, is an ideal spot for a relaxing beach holiday. The village is named after the long stretch of sandy beach with shallow waters that offers safe swimming for children. Makrigialos has a good choice of taverns, cafes and bars and the little harbour with its traditional fishing boats is a favourite meeting point for locals and visitors. Enjoy fresh fish and local specialities looking out over the blue sea, stroll along the small promenade or have a coffee in one of the Cretan ‘kafenions’. The authentic little villages in the hills behind Makrigialos are worth a visit and there are regular bus connections to the larger towns like Ierapetra and Sitia.

We also own a water ski school that includes all sorts of water sports like jet ski, banana, parasailing etc. For all guests of Liakoto Villa, a special price applies. The water ski school is situated on the ‘Sunwing’ hotel beach side, which is at the centre of Makrigialos; ‘Sunwing Hotel’ is a Scandinavian resort.
