There is an excellent bus timetable to and from Funchal city, in the case that you do not wish to drive in your holidays. The hotels nearby offer a program of entertainment in the evenings and they welcome visitors The waters of the Garajau Natural Marine Park are a big pull for visitors looking to sample some scuba diving and diving on Madeira.The best of the scuba diving is around Caniço de Baixo, and a choice of scuba diving companies hire out equipment, give scuba diving lessons, and organise excursions. The golf courses are within less than 30 minutes driving from the apartment. In the case that you wish to walk in the famous Levadas, there are some in the area.
