The apartments have a double bedroom, bathroom (en-suite), a sitting room with very comfortable sofa-bed and a fully equipped kitchen (Cooker, microwave, dishwasher, filter coffee machine, toaster etc). One of the apartments has its own private terrace the other a romantic style four poster bed . The cost of an apartment is from Euro 200.00 per night for 2 persons and EUro 250.00 for 3 - 4 persons Breakfast is not included in the rate for our apartments, however this can be provided, as can a basket of freshly baked rolls and pastries in the apartment for a small additional cost. Casa Portagioia is set in the Valle di Chio (or God’s Valley according to the locals) with olive groves and typical Tuscan countryside of rolling hills and green vegetation. From here you can explore the local countryside on foot or by bikes (available on site). Our 14 meter heated swimming pool with sun terraces is set on a small hillside with panoramic views of the valley and small Tuscan hillside villages nearby.

Castiglion Fiorentin , Arezzo , Tuscany , Italy

The area: The main town is Castiglion Fiorentino, a medieval town with Etruscan heritage. From here you can visit Cortona and Arezzo which are about 15 minutes away or, within an hours drive you are able to visit many Tuscan and Ubrian towns such as Florence, Siena, Assisi, the Chianti region, Montepulciano - to name but a few. There is a train station at Castiglion with trains to Rome and Florence - although faster express trains are available from Arezzo.
