Very quiet location, on a hillside dead end street, above Lavena Ponte Tresa, about 300 metres above the village with a marvellous view of the Lake Lugano and the mountains around. 15 kilometers from the highway-exit of the A2 \"Lugano North\". 50 kilometers from the airport Milano Malpensa. A car is required.

A small groceryshop (with fresh bread in the morning) and 2 restaurants/bars (with good, typical italian food at very reasonable prices) are found in the centre of the picturesque little village of Viconago. Other restaurants and espresso bars, shops, supermarkets, laundry shop etc. in the Italian Lavena Ponte Tresa and in the Swiss Ponte Tresa (7 minutes by car). Every Saturday there is a large wares and food market in the centre of Lavena Ponte Tresa. Day trip possibilities: By car, train or ferry to Morcote and Lugano. In Lugano you can explore the nice historic centre and the pretty promenade by the lake. You can go by car to the car-free town of Varese or to Luino by the Lago Maggiore (large market on Wednesdays). Further trips are possible to the mountains San Salvatore and Monte Generoso (mountain railway), or to the shopping centre Milan with its sights. Hiking by the Lake Lugano or the picturesque Malcantone in the chestnut forests. Bathing beaches, boat hires by Lake Lugano.
