Castello di Tocchi was a medieval castle from the turn of the millennium, during the war between Florence and Siena it was slighted. Today there are still parts of the wall and gate preserved. The property is located in a nature reserve. Right up under your window porcupine and deer will appear. From your appartment you have a nice view of the southern province. The next town Iesa is a small village. Typical old farm houses send you back in former times. By foot you are in half an hour at the Farma (river with swimming) in a unique nature reserve. In 30 min you are in Siena, in 45 mins Massa Marittima or at sea. The Terme di Petriolo (hot sulfur springs) can be reached in 5-10 min. San Galgano is around the corner (with a Romanesque hermitage with the Round Church of St. San Galgano's sword whitch was pushed in a rock. Many smaller attractions are nearby. We are happy to help you arround. In about 15 km distance, you can buy everything what the daily life requires. In Tocchi you find a restaurant for typical Tuscan dishes and fish specialties. Study and leisure offerings: Italian course for beginners and Better 1 person per hour 15 EUR - 2 persons 20 EUR per hour - more than 3 people per hour 25 EUR - cooking class, painting, bread bakeing in medieval oven. Olive harvest, guided hikes in the reserve or physical therapy are available on request. Prices are between 10 and 50 EUR per person. If you want to bring your horse we can offer a paddock with shelter. 12 EUR per day.
