This newly renovated open-plan apartment is situated in a tree-lined street near the Tiergarten, Berlin’s large central park (which also gives its name to the city borough) and close to the river Spree (the river bank is just 80 m away). The location is quiet but nonetheless very central. Stations for both U- and S-Bahn are just 5-10 minutes’ walk away (the nearest S-Bahn stations are Bellevue and Tiergarten; nearest U-Bahn station is Hansaplatz) with direct connections to both the eastern and western central areas. The main railway station (Bahnhof Zoo) and the western city centre are just one stop away by S- or U-Bahn and the eastern central area is also quick to reach (Friedrichstraße, Hackescher Markt and Alexanderplatz stations are 2, 3 and 4 stops away respectively).
A lot of interesting places are a pleasant walk away – 20 minutes’ walk through the Tiergarten park takes you past the zoo to Bahnhof Zoo, and a similar amount of walking in the opposite direction, along the river bank footpath, takes you to the government quarter, the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag.
Although the river creates a peaceful space close by, the immediate area caters for all everyday needs. Supermarkets, bakers, a wholefood shop, restaurants, bars and pavement cafés are all just a few minutes’ walk away.
The apartment is on the second floor of the Vorderhaus (street-front section) of a traditional Berlin apartment house built around 1900.
Prices start at a € 55 per night minimum for 2 people (the longer you stay, the less it costs - see our graded pricing system).
For the busy summer period and for Christmas, New Year and Easter we give preference to those staying for at least a week. During May to October a short stay (less than 4 nights) can usually be booked only up to 4 weeks in advance. During November to April (except for the above holidays) this is possible up to 2 months in advance.

The light, welcoming apartment has recently been altered to create an open-plan studio style living room with a split-level bedroom area sleeping up to 6 people (1 double or 2 twin beds downstairs and 2 singles and a double on the upper deck.) Rennovation work was completed in 2004 after which the apartment was newly furnished and fitted out.
The kitchen/dining area is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, cooker with ceramic hob and all the usual kitchen gear. The bathroom has both bath and shower.
The spacious living area, which includes a secluded balcony overlooking the tree-lined street and desk space, is comfortably furnished and has cable TV

In the area immediately around the apartment, already, you find shops and a number of Restaurants and pubs; worth mentioning are the exquisite „Osteria da Lilo“, the „Promo“ with its French cuisine and sunday brunch and the popular Californian restaurant "Nola's" with an opulent brunch, as well, and Deck-Chairs on the Terrace.
If you'd like to walk towards the western centre of Berlin, turn right behind Hansa bridge, and after a couple of minutes you'll be at S-Bahn station Tiergarten (another possibility to take the S-Bahn,of course). On the other side of the street you will see the edge of the Tiergarten, Berlin's large central park, offering you many small and wide paths to lead you gently to numerous targets in the city centre (e.g.: Station Zoo, Kurfürstendamm and Tauentzienstraße) or to pleasant spots (lakes, beer-gardens etc.) in the middle of the park.
If you like to go by Underground (U-Bahn) or City train (S-Bahn), cross the river via Hansa bridge and follow the street. In a couple of minutes, after crossing the railway, you'll arrive at Hansaplatz
with its U-Bahn station (U9) at your left hand, only one station away from Zoo railway station, one of Berlin's two main stations.
If you prefer the S-Bahn turn left at Hansaplatz into Bartningallee, and in 2 minutes you'll have reached S-Bahn station Bellevue (main line West-East).
