With its special hilltop position at 700mt. a.s.l., Palazzo del Gastaldo reminds to the ancient splendour of a fortified hamlet of the “Longobardo” period. The estate is entirely fenced off and has an extension of 18 acres with a wood with traks for walkings up to the top of the hill where it is possible to admire an enchanting view. The little fenced off lake where various types of fishes and birds live is also in a panoramic position, ideal for those who like fishing. The property is composed by the main country house that is divided into 4 apartments: the one where the owners live, on the first floor; the biggest apartment on the ground floor called Il Gastaldo; the old defence tower, on three floors, on the back of the house, called La Torre; the ancient stable, on the ground floor, called La Scuderia. The country house in front of the main building is divided into 3 apartments : in one of them, on the first floor, live the owner; other two apartments are on the ground floor and are reserved to the clients (Il Fienile and La Legnaia). In quiet and sunny position there is a gorgeous swimming-pool (13mx6,5m) with an equipped solarium with long-chairs. Near the pool there is a woodden gazebo covered by an american vine that creates a very nice shaded natural corner equipped with garden furniture and table tennis. The garden is vaste and very well kept from the owners: there are tall trees and various bushes and flowers. In common use to clients there are a wood burning oven and a barbecue: both are built in masonry. The apartments have been restored with respect to the originality of the buildings and are furnished with rustic and antique pieces; each of them has private outdoor area (small garden, portico or pergola) equipped with garden furniture.
