A few weeks before our arrival, almost all the trees on the property were cut down. Originally, the house was in the middle of the forest. We still liked it very much because it is sunnier that way. The house itself is quite spacious and well-maintained. We felt very comfortable.

How do I come to Rennsteig?

The Rennsteig runs centrally through the Thuringian Forest and the Thuringian Slate Mountains at an altitude of about 500 to 970 meters. It starts in Eisenach, in the district of Hörschel on the Werra, and ends after 169.29 km in Blankenstein on the Saale. You can reach the Rennsteig by private car via the A 71, A 73, and A 4 highways.
