We had 8 very nice relaxing days at the end of May. The apartment (in an old established weekend house settlement with gravel road and fragrant blooming gardens) is well laid out and equipped (filter coffee machine as well as French press, boiling water in a pot), the living room with books and games was cozy, the beds were good. Entrance steps from the garden to the house and terrace with 4 steps, otherwise at ground level without thresholds. The bathroom is tiny with a narrow sliding door, but it worked well for us. The mini dishwasher fits breakfast and dinner dishes for 2 people. Insect screens, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi are very effective. TV mainly has various German (private) channels. We were allowed to use the private washing machine, as the nice, unobtrusive landlords on site (who were often away themselves) were happy to give tips and answer questions. Well prepared, you can find three supermarkets on site by car, weekly markets within 60 km, small archaeological sites and museums, the tourist village of Afitos, the recommended Petralona cave with a museum and a little train from the parking lot to the entrance, in nearby Thessaloniki (easily accessible by highway) history, culture, and shopping for every taste, and very cheap bus and metro.
It is also worth experiencing other beaches with and without rental sunbeds and music. From the flat long "house beach" (mainly sand, with pebbles/enough parking spaces) view of the snow-covered Olympus.
The free older bicycles are suitable for short distances, e.g. along the beach road.
Garden/terrace had sun and shade at all times of the day. Hardly any airplane noise despite being close to the airport (35km). The neighborhood and beach life were noticeably livelier on weekends, during the week often only the rich birdsong enlivened the silence. We found a car necessary, the parking lot directly at the house and the traffic pleasant, and the view from the mountains of land and sea magnificent.

We enjoyed Villa Anastasia for almost three weeks. The house is equipped to a first-class standard and especially the view from the terrace is dreamy. The many well-thought-out details in the house are very convincing. The kitchen is very well equipped; the fly screens are helpful and easy to use in front of all the windows. Kastri and the surrounding area are not very touristically developed, driving on the very winding roads was a bit of a change for us flatlanders, but manageable with a smaller car. The people in the shops and taverns are very, very friendly. A nice corner of Crete for relaxing and "diving in." Regarding the sleeping situation in the house, the following: The bed is not very wide, and therefore it is possible or likely that one person will sleep on the "guest bed." However, as described, the bed is not in a closed room but in the access area of the house. We have gotten used to it, and it has not bothered us, but guests should definitely keep this in mind.
The contact with the landlords was very straightforward and professional and was very helpful. We can recommend the house without reservation and wish all future guests as wonderful a time as we had.

We had a wonderful two weeks in Villa Malo.
It is very tastefully but also functionally furnished, cozy, and everything was perfectly clean.
The views through the large windows as well as from various terraces of snow-covered mountains and the sea delighted us anew every day.
The villa is located on the edge of the village of Pitsidia. Several taverns as well as a small, well-equipped supermarket can be reached in a few minutes on foot. To the sea, it is just under 2km through beautiful meadows.
Throughout our stay, we felt very well cared for by our nice and attentive hostess Bärbel. She was always approachable, had helpful tips, took care of everything, and even left us a basket with egg decorations for Easter.
In short, it was an all-around pleasant stay and we would love to come back!
