Dear Kiki,
after we missed giving a review after our first visit last year, we would like to do so now. The 13 days last year were already great, but the almost three weeks this year were indescribable...
To answer the questions provided by the vacation house rental ;-) : your location is great, looking out of the window in the morning and deciding which direction to go based on the weather... we believe it can't get any better and more central. Super nice and clean accommodation, everything you need is there. We immediately felt like "family members". We will definitely spread the word and when we tackle the next island next year, there will definitely be enough time to visit you...
Overall: satisfied in all aspects: peace, well-maintained, loving accommodation, central, shopping 10 minutes by car, everything you could wish for.
Give the furry ones, Samba, Milli, Pia, Cha, and your rooster, a hug from us...

Right at the beginning of our holiday, we were struck by the lush greenery and especially the birdsong. You don't hear that in Germany anymore, here even from the car. Once we arrived at Casa Magnolia, we found everything we needed. We would also like to emphasise the beautiful large garden that cannot be seen from outside, the very nice terrace with a view of the Atlantic and sunsets, the best equipment in the house and the daily visit of the dog and cats. We used every day of our two-week stay to explore the island in numerous walks. Of course, you are sometimes surprised by a rain shower, but that is simply part of an Azores holiday. And after 2 hours at the latest, the sun was shining again :)
All in all, we can highly recommend the Casa and especially the Azores for a relaxing holiday. It only remains for us to say thank you to the very nice and helpful landlords.

São Miguel is an island shaped by volcanoes. For example, visit the spa town of Furnas in the southeast, nestled in a former volcanic crater. The lake of the same name bubbles and steams at every corner. In Furnas, you will also find the Poça da Beija basin, which contains healing mud. In the botanical garden Parque Terra Nostra, you can step into a thermal swimming pool. This will fascinate you with its ochre-colored water. Hot springs are omnipresent on São Miguel. From the viewpoint Miradouro do Pico do Ferro, you have a gigantic view of Lago do Furnas and the breathtaking geysers. A sight you will not soon forget.
