In winter: The cold season belongs to winter sports enthusiasts. Whether alpine, cross-country or snowboarding - around your holiday apartment or private holiday home in the ski world of Ellmau, the sports possibilities are almost unlimited. Snowboarders will enjoy the Kaiserpark at Hartkaiser. A special experience for skiers is the night skiing area in Söll. More than ten kilometers of slopes are open until late in the evening. All places at the Wilder Kaiser are connected by cable cars. This way, you can get from Ellmau to Going, Scheffau, and Söll. Go on ski safaris. From Ellmauer Hartkaiser, you can reach the Bandstadl-Bahn in Scheffau and the Hohe Salve and from Westendorf to Brixen. The Hohe Salve is the highest point at 1,800 meters. If you are still unsure on the boards, you will find several practice lifts near your accommodation. In summer: Ellmau and the surrounding area is a paradise for golfers. In Ellmau itself, the 27-hole Wilder Kaiser golf course awaits. The smaller 9-hole golf course is just right for families. The etiquette is casual and membership is not necessary. Four more golf courses are located in Kitzbühel and another nine courses can be reached within a one to one and a half-hour drive. In summer, the mountain lakes in the area offer cooling and relaxation. Swimmers and bathers enjoy the Hintersteiner See in Scheffau, the Badesee Going, and the Ahornsee in Söll. In bad weather, you can take a dip in the Kaiserbad's cool water - with a view of the peaks of Treffauer and Tuxeck. There is a sauna area with a jacuzzi, an adventure indoor pool with a current channel, and a water playground for children with water slides. By the way, there are also numerous sporting activities in the mountains without snow: climbing, mountaineering, trail running, paragliding, mountain biking and downhill, as well as canyoning and river rafting are then on the program. For beginners, there are introductions and guided tours in all sports. Safety is the focus of all mountain sports. The right equipment and technique are essential.

How do I come to Ellmau?

The idyllic mountain village in the municipality of Ellmau is located at over 800 meters altitude in Tyrol, Austria. The destination stations are Kufstein and St. Johann. Continue from Kufstein via Söll to your accommodation by bus. From St. Johann, there is a direct connection.
