Really nice & quiet! Pool super, facility too!

The finka is located slightly away from the village and is therefore very quiet and without traffic outside! Large pool with pool bar, beautiful garden. Great complex! About 4 minutes by car to the sea. To be recommended.

Your holiday home or apartment in Alcossebre is located in a former fishing village that has preserved its charm to this day. The typical Spanish architectural eyesores are rare here. The village centre, with its narrow streets and white-washed houses, invites you to take a stroll. Tapas bars and cafes create a cosy holiday atmosphere. Beach lovers have a choice of numerous sandy beaches: at the Playa las Fuentes, fresh water springs gush, the large Playa Carregador is right next to the harbour, and further out are the Playa Romana, the Playa de Moro and the Playa Tropicana. Alcossebre borders directly on the Serra d'Irta nature reserve. If you want to take long hikes there, it's best to come in spring when it's not too hot. If you like to party with the locals, then visit the Festes Patronals at the end of August. At the Patronage Festivals in Spain, people of all ages are out and about, celebrating until the early hours of the morning. Speaking of festivities: on the last Wednesday of August, the Tomatina takes place in nearby Buñol. Tens of thousands of participants pelt each other with overripe tomatoes.

Where can I eat out in Alcossebre?

A taste of Spain: fish, paella and good wine

Eating well and plentifully is one of the Spaniards' favourite pastimes - the only exception being breakfast. The desayuno tends to be comparatively modest. A milky coffee and perhaps something sweet usually suffice. From lunchtime and especially in the (usually late) evening, a lavish spread is expected: the Spaniards love multi-course menus. Although we are on the Mediterranean Sea, fresh fish is rarely available and very expensive. Most fish are not caught on their doorstep. Nevertheless, you'll find sea bass (lubina), monkfish (rape), grilled octopus (pulpo) and small squid (chipirones) on most menus. The ultimate Southern Spanish classic, however, is paella. Be careful not to be misled when choosing one. Ask the locals where to find the best paella and don't go for the cheapest option. With a good paella, you can taste each ingredient separately: tomatoes, peppers, fish, seafood or rabbit, and even the rice. Saffron is the secret to a good paella - and it's expensive. Naturally, wine from the region accompanies your meal. The quality growing areas are known as DO València, Alacant and Alicante. The wines, especially the red ones, are full-bodied and bring the sun of a long Mediterranean summer into your glass.

The small seaside resort of Alcossebre is located on the Costa del Azahar, north of Valencia about halfway towards Tarragona. You can reach your holiday apartment or private holiday home in Alcossebre comfortably and quickly by plane from Northern Europe. Valencia Airport is regularly served by almost all major airports in Germany. Car rental agencies are available at the airport. Especially in the low season, cars are particularly cheap. It is advisable to book in advance via the Internet. From Valencia, follow the coastal road E-340 past Peníscola to your accommodation in Alcossebre. It is possible to arrive by car, but it takes about 14 to 15 hours from Western Germany.
