Wonderful apartment in a great location

We spent very relaxing days in the very clean, lovingly furnished, and fully equipped vacation apartment. The landlady, who lives in the lower apartment, was very nice and helpful. Upon arrival, there was a bouquet of fresh flowers and a bottle of wine on the dining table - we felt very welcomed. The location is perfect - within a few minutes' walk, you are on the village street, where the baker, supermarket, restaurants, and nice shops are located. A beautiful path leads to the beach in 20 minutes on foot as well. The area invites you to take wonderful bike tours to the surrounding towns. We would love to return!

Restful days in Oostkapelle!!!

We had a wonderful vacation with the Wuyckhuyse family. The small cozy holiday home is well-equipped and centrally located yet quiet in the village. Grocery stores and restaurants are within walking distance, and the nearby beach is a dream.
We really enjoyed it and look forward to seeing them again.

Family vacation

We spent a week of autumn vacation with 9 people from 3 generations in this accommodation. The house is clean and very spacious. Both in the kitchen and the living room, we all had comfortable seating. In all the bedrooms, there is a washbasin, which we found very pleasant. You can also relax well in the well-maintained garden with terrace. The location of the house is optimal. The beach and the village with shopping options are easily accessible on foot. Bicycles, carts, and some beach accessories are also available. We felt completely comfortable and would love to return.

Oostkapelle also has an impressive history and offers many opportunities to discover it. For example, visit the impressive Saronkerk Church. Oostkapelle: Surrounded by Nature

The ultimate highlight is undoubtedly the "De Manteling" Nature Reserve. The beach, dunes, and unique forest areas will amaze you. Also part of the reserve is the castle forest of Kasteel Westhove. The forecourt of the building is still well-preserved and can be visited by you. In Oostkapelle itself, the Orangerie of Kasteel Westhove hosts several cultural and traditional delights. A tall-stem garden, a dune garden, a flower-covered dike garden, or a refuge hill where locals wanted to keep their feet dry are the highlights here. The Orangerie also houses the Terra Maris (Land of the Sea). It is a museum for nature and landscape. A great exhibition shows you the diverse native nature, which you can admire daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. (As of September 2023)

A lot of fun is guaranteed by the family attraction De Vierlinden, in the recreation area De Hollandsche Hoeve. Here, there is a family restaurant with a beautiful terrace, an action-packed indoor playground for children, an 18-hole mini-golf course, a subtropical swimming pool nearby, a children's farm, a craft center, and more playgrounds with integrated water fun. Unique in the Netherlands is also the sheep dairy and cheese farm in Meliskerke. Here, you learn all about life on a farm and about the particularly healthy products of sheep. Besides tours, there is also a corn maze, a playground, and a small petting zoo. An adventure for both small and big kids awaits in Middelburg. In Prison Island, you and your team must try to escape from a prison. This exciting experience is available from Wednesday to Sunday between 12 PM and 10 PM starting at €20 per person. (As of September 2023) An interesting museum is also located in the town of Nieuwdorp: the Bevrijdingsmuseum Zeeland. With an attached large garden, it showcases the country's history during World War II. You can admire the exhibition from Tuesday to Saturday between 10 AM and 5 PM. (As of September 2023) In Haamstede, a visit to Slot Haamstede is worthwhile. This is a castle with a defensive tower from the 13th century, which is still well-preserved.
