Location and surroundings of object
Beautifully situated on the edge of the village of Labastide de Virac, 10 minutes by car from the Ardèche, at the end of a flat Taleinschnittes on 3 sides naturally grown, surrounded by bushes and trees, quiet and green. The village center is within 5 minutes walk (about 600 meters). The house is sunny (sun from morning to evening), but there are plenty of shady places around the house and under the vine-covered pergola on the south side of the house.

Here are some interesting destinations.
Cities, towns, villages:
Avignon, Tarascon, Arles, Orange, Nimes, Aigues-Mortes, Montpellier are beautiful cities and towns, some of Roman origin. Uzes, a great Renaissance-town attracts with southern French market life. La Roque-sur-Cèze nestles like many other natural stone villages on the slopes of the Vallee de la Cèze. Barjac is a stone's throw away, and invites even off his famous antiques market to stroll and relax.
Les Beaux de Provence, a picturesque village on a rocky hill, offers beautiful views and a good wine (storage and sales rooms in the caves of a former quarry near the village). Very nice is also a day trip to the small fishing village Cassis, a few kilometers east of Marseille.
Marseille itself is well worth the trip, but it is advisable here not to go by car to the city center. For example, you can öhlen of Cassis from a boat trip to the picturesque cliffs to Marseille:
A few kilometers away towards Orgnac can visit a spectacular stalactite cave which Orgnac. In general, there are in the region many beautiful caves (limestone area) .Beautiful landscapes and mountain ranges:
The famous regions Provence to the east and the Camargue in the south are close. To the north are the Cevennes, in the east, the Dentelles de Montmirail. The Mont Ventoux is known as stage of the Tour de highlight is the one-day canoe tour of the Ardèche Gorges (30 km). Start the morning at best at in Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, then you create the romantic route downriver to St. Martin easily. They are picked up in the evening at about 18:00 to 19:00 from the canoe rental company there again. Alternatively, there is a short tour of about 7 km, possibly recommended to try out. Canoeing in the summer should be selected with care, as smaller rivers such as the Cèze have a low water level and you often have to pull the canoes on gravel banks. In the Ardèche one is here on the safe side.

If you are looking for something to feel good and relax, this is the place for you: A beautiful spacious house with tasteful furnishings and the best equipment. A large garden/terrace with various possibilities to relax and linger. An enchanting village. Plus lots of nature, architectural highlights and excursion and outdoor sports opportunities in the surrounding area. We were particularly pleased with the contact to the landlord, from whom we received nice information and detailed information about everything concerning our holiday. We also received on-site support from the very attentive concierge when we were looking for emergency medical services. Thank you very much for everything!

A holiday accommodation that really leaves nothing to be desired
From the first moment we enjoyed the wonderful tranquillity that reigns in Labastide de Virac, especially around this house. Beautifully situated, very tastefully laid out and furnished in the same way - from the first moment we felt comfortable there and like in a second home. We had already had very nice contact with the Baader family in the run-up to our stay and were not looking forward to our holiday in the Ardéche for nothing. In the house itself we found everything we could wish for. Everything is very clean, very tastefully and very well furnished and equipped. You don't have to do without anything on holiday here. Next time we might take a small fan with us to cool down a bit on the many tropical nights, but that is really the icing on the cake. The holiday home is an excellent base for exploring the Ardéche all the way to Lyon, Orange, Avignon, Aubenas, Vogüé and Nimes. We enjoyed the little river Ardéche several times from the nearby Vallon Pont d'Arc by boat on the water, paddled through the impressive, elongated gorge to St. Martin and passed not only the Pont d'Arc but also impressive landscape sceneries on the way. The area around the holiday home is teeming with caves, museums, castles, wineries, traces of Roman settlements, enchanting little villages and the special "Les plus beaux villages de France", e.g. Balazuc. Plenty to see and discover.
For active holidaymakers there are dozens of worthwhile destinations. First and foremost, of course, the Grotte Chauvet, which is why we visited this area for the first time 3 years ago and spontaneously fell in love with the landscape (a visit to the little village of Labeaume was a key moment)
If you do some research on the internet, you can find hidden waterfalls or even the entrance to a very extensive (dangerous) cave system (which has an entrance only about 3 km from the holiday home).

Pure relaxation
We enjoyed this area, the house with the beautiful and large garden, and above all the peace and quiet. Pure relaxation! The house had everything you need. The huge and well-stocked book selection, the number of brochures and hiking maps should be mentioned. The small village also exudes tranquility. All in all, we have recovered!

Relax your soul
Lovingly, cosily and comfortably furnished small house in a quiet and secluded location with a large lawn and a dreamlike pergola. The kitchen has everything you need to cook delicious meals and is a great place to relax, whether as a couple or with the family. Pure nature! Everyday shopping is easy in a small farm shop in the village itself or by car in the surrounding area, e.g. Barjac. In the surrounding area, there are beautiful little towns and, of course, the Ardeche.

Pure relaxation
We, meaning my wife and my two children, are repeaters, or as H. Baader says: regular guests. We have already been to the house twice and will also spend our summer vacation there this year.
The house has everything you could wish for, the equipment is complete and lovingly furnished, you can tell that the owners live there themselves.
The surroundings are fantastic, you can hike, swim, go canoeing and cycling, there is a climbing garden nearby. There are many caves that you can visit. Very good restaurants, as one would expect in France, good restaurants are also "good" expensive. But don't be scared, you get very good value for your money.
Or simply relax on the sun lounger and take a good book from the shelf, the Baader family has an excellent selection.
You can get small things from "Madame" at the village shop. Supermarkets donate the rest.
I could go on writing for hours and raving about the surroundings and the holiday home, but trying it out yourself and gaining your own experiences is still the best.

Super schönes Haus in toller Lage!!

Da muss man schon mal Wasser wischen.
Fazit: Hier braucht man keine Animateure! Erholungsfaktor: Sehr hoch. Vielen Dank an die Vermieter, Familie Baader!
