Description
The house was newly built in 2005 on the foundation walls of an old thatched roof map. It has a modern and very well equipped 32 m² kitchen-living room with underfloor heating, and a cosy sitting area with satellite TV. The large bathroom with shower and bathtub also has underfloor heating. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed, and upstairs there is a large bedroom with a double bed, and a smaller room with a French bed (140 wide) and a 140 cm cot. ( A travel cot is also available if needed. )
There are picture books to browse through, a well-stocked info box with flyers and excursion tips, and there is a selection of novels and children's books. Board games for big and small guests and selected toys for the little ones. In the adjoining shed there is a sandpit, a barbecue, and I am happy to provide a men's and a women's bicycle if required.
On the large property there are swings and paths to explore for the little ones and a large terrace and secluded spots for the grown-ups. There is the possibility to make a small campfire, and plenty of space to run around.

Location and surroundings of object
The house is located near Tönning, close to the Eider. St. Peter-Ording, Husum, Büsum and Meldorf can be reached in 30 minutes. It is 3 min. from the Hemme exit on the B5 (extension of the A23 ). As the house is located outside, a car is necessary.
With the available bikes you can easily reach the natural bathing place in Wollersum at the Eider, or the FFH area Mötjenpolder, where you can observe impressive flocks of starlings in late summer. The property is nestled between meadows, cabbage and grain fields.

The house is situated on a beautiful property with old trees. It is very close to nature with insect-friendly plants and in summer you can observe various butterflies, bumblebees, etc. There are pheasants, rabbits and deer on the property. Pheasants, rabbits and deer live on the property and sheep run on the meadow in front of the house. Besides fruit trees and a berry fruit snack corner, a herb garden invites you to help yourself all year round.
Since it is situated between the Eider estuary and the Mötjenpolder nature reserve, you can witness the impressive bird migration in autumn.
The immediate surroundings of the house are excellent for tours by bike.

Pure relaxation
We as a family felt very comfortable in the "Spatzennest". The children enjoyed riding their bikes through the fields. After excursions in the surrounding area, you could relax very well on the terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet. Thank you very much!

I don't even know where to start: The house is in a super quiet location away from the tourist crowds and yet conveniently situated for trips to the North Sea or inland, simply ideal for unwinding with the large terrace and the super-beautiful, well-kept garden. Just sit on the terrace and watch the birds ...
The furnishings leave nothing to be desired. The communication with the landlady was very smooth, even though the booking was made at short notice. Even the weather played along, we are just thrilled!

Nicely located holiday home to feel comfortable.
The house exactly matches the description. The location offers a good starting point for excursions in the surrounding area. By bike, you can quickly reach a beautiful bathing beach on the Eider River, and by car, you can be at the North Sea beach in about 25 minutes. We felt very comfortable here. The house is tastefully furnished and very well equipped. We spent a lot of time on the beautiful terrace and in the garden. You have a nice view of the fields and can observe birds and other animals. The landlady is very friendly and helpful. We wholeheartedly recommend the "Spatzennest".

Schönes Haus abseits des Troubels
Das Haus liegt etwas abseits vom Ort Hemme. Sehr schön gelegen zwischen verschiedenen Feldern. Genau das Richtige, wenn man nicht mit zig anderen in den Touristen - Hochburgen wohnen will.
Das Haus hat alles an Einrichtung, was man braucht - wir konnten sogar an einem Schlechtwetter-Tag Kuchen backen :-)
Auf ein Auto ist man angewiesen... Dann kann man von hier aus aber innerhalb von 20 Minuten nach Heide, Büsum oder Husum.
Wir haben nichts vermisst und können das Haus in vollem Umfang weiter empfehlen!!!

Dream house to feel good
The Sparrow's Nest is a beautiful Nordic dream house in a very peaceful secluded location in the middle of nature.
It is wonderfully romantic, furnished with antique furniture, and everything stylistically matches down to the last detail (even the container for clothespins is an old zinc bowl with enamel handles). The location, the property with the garden, the house, and even the individual rooms radiate a cozy atmosphere. It feels like a photo spread in a magazine. At the same time, everything necessary for cooking or for the small household is available (vacuum cleaner, broom, washing machine and drying rack, hand mixer, etc.). Even our children (5, 7, and 10 years old) found the house and their rooms so beautiful that they voluntarily tidied up and made their beds! We also personally really liked the garden: a terrace with a beautiful view of the greenery, but also a lawn and a swing for the children to romp around. Surrounding it all is charming wilderness and, above all, tranquility!
The only minus point regarding cleanliness: we discovered quite a few spiders (harvestmen), which personally bothers me, so I immediately vacuumed them all up. There shouldn't be so many now... Otherwise, there were fly screens almost everywhere.
Sights, North Sea beaches, or shopping opportunities can be easily reached by car, but always at least a 15-minute drive. That's the disadvantage when the dream house is in the middle of the countryside. Actually, it's not a big deal, as you have a car anyway.
For smaller excursions, there were bicycles, and we were even provided with children's/teenagers' bicycles.
The random contact with Mrs. Göttsche-Dethlefs upon arrival was very friendly, otherwise, we only had contact via email, as everything went smoothly.
My husband and I haven't been to the North Sea in decades. But if we go again, we hope to get a spot in the Sparrow's Nest!

Sehr schönes, stilvolles Ferienhaus
Wir haben unseren Familienurlaub in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen.Das Haus liegt ländlich, sehr idyllisch und bietet eine gute Ausgangsbasis für Ausflüge. Der weitläufige und naturnah gestaltete Garten lädt zum Entdecken und zum Entspannen ein. Vor allem unsere Kinder haben viele Geheimgänge entdeckt, konnten einen Igel beobachten, und haben Beeren, Äpfel und Kräuter geerntet. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut und die Einrichtung geschmackvoll. Für Kinder gibt es tolle Spielsachen, Bücher, Murmelbahn und vieles mehr. Die Vermieterin ist ausgesprochen hilfsbereit, immer zeitnah erreichbar und ging auf unsere Wünsche und Bedürfnisse ein. Das "Spatzennest" ist absolut empfehlenswert, besonders für Familien mit kleinen Kindern, Naturliebhaber und Radfahrer.

Traumurlaub
Das Haus ist super ausgestattet, und hat eine traumhaft ruhige Lage.
Wir haben uns sehr gefühlt, und konnten uns herrlich in der Ruhe erholen.

Tolle Woche
Haben gerade einen einwöchigen Kurzurlaub mit Kindern und Enkel im Spatzennest verbracht: Alles mega und so wie beschrieben. Können das Spatzennest uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Komplette Ausstattung!Ansonsten Ruhe pur, das Blöken der Schafe und Zwitschern der Vögel war lauter als die Geräusche der Windkraftanlagen. Ca. 30 Min. Fahrt bis zum nächsten Sandstrand in St. Peter-Ording; gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Aldi, Lidl, ReWe, Rossmann, KiK, Ernsting Family, Edeka, Netto) alles in Tönning (10 km) vorhanden. Super leckerer Brötchen im örtlichen Tank-Shop in Hemme. Für kleinere Kinder (unsere Enkel knapp 3 Jahre) viele (Holz-)Spielsachen, Bobby Car, Hüpfball, Sandkasten, ... vorhanden. Viel Grün und Bäume am und um‘s Haus.
Fazit: Super Woche, super Haus, super Gegend, absolut nette Vermieterin – fühlten uns wohl und aufgehoben und kommen, wenn möglich, gerne wieder.

Ruhe und Natur
Wer die Natur liebt und Ruhe sucht, ist im "Spatzennest" genau richtig. Wunderschönes Ferienhaus auf großem liebevoll angelegtem Naturgrundstück. Es gibt viele Vogelarten zu beobachten und auch die Häschen begrüßen dich im Vorbeihoppeln.
Das Haus selbst läßt keine Wünsche offen (Bücher zum Schmökern, Infomaterial, Spiele/Spielzeug, liebevolle Ausstattung und und und) - also Erholung pur!
Von Hemme aus kann man schnell Sankt-Peter-Ording, Husum und Büsum erreichen.
Wir können das "Spatzennest" nur empfehlen und kommen gern wieder.
