Comfortable holiday flat in a quiet, relaxing location
We (a couple) spent 12 relaxing days here in June 2017. The granny annexe with separate entrance and great panoramic window into the greenery is with 50 square metres just the right size for a couple looking for relaxation, as we were. The flat is well thought out down to the last detail. There was nothing lacking in terms of equipment. From the Nespresso coffee machine to the powerful hairdryer to the second TV with sleep timer for a relaxing night's sleep after a long day's tour, we wanted for nothing. The double bed with excellent mattresses and wonderful pillows and duvets must also be appreciated. Every 3 days in the evening, when we came back from tour, we found a laundry basket with fresh towels in the hallway of our FeWo. The flat has a perfect location. Close to the forest, for an evening digestive walk in a quiet, very nice housing estate. The main street (I think it was 229) with several restaurants is within 5-7 minutes walking distance. The Rewe and Kaufland are also only 5 minutes away by car. The best thing for us personally, and that's why we chose it, is its convenient, central location for our NRW tour. To Dortmund to the Signal Iduna Arena about 75 km. To Brühl to Phantasialand about 60km. To Drachenburg Castle in Königswinter with its top view down the Rhine is also only 60km. Close to Königswinter is Bonn with its Greek restaurant Dionysos. Cologne to the cathedral and Rhine is also only 30 km. To the Düsseldorf KÖ again only 30 km. A top base for daily trips by car to get to know NRW and some of its attractions. Solingen itself also has a lot to offer. We spent 3 days of our holiday exclusively in Solingen. We recommend the castle Burg, the Klingenmuseum, the old town Gräfrath, as well as the great shopping centre "Hofgarten". Thanks to Mrs. Uellendahl and all the best. H.Meyer & girlfriend
