Wonderful Lake Maggiore.

Our first stay at Lake Maggiore has made us want to come back, because:
1. The vacation apartment is very nice and has a great outdoors area.
2. The view from the terrace overlooking Lake Maggiore is unbeatable due to the location on a hill.
3. The house equipment leaves nothing to be desired, as everything is really there, for example plenty of cups, plates, glasses, and all in good quality.
4. The care provided by the landlady is really exceptional. From the inquiry to the booking and inquiries during the stay. In addition, there are tour suggestions with personal hints available.

Conclusion: Those who are looking for a quiet, high-quality holiday home at Lake Maggiore and are willing to climb the approximately 58 steps (feasible) are in the right place. For us, it was also not bad that we couldn't walk to Belgirate on foot (quite steep) and drove to neighboring villages for dinner (not bad). The house compensates for this with its great location. Overall highly recommended.

By the way, we found the landscape and the cities and of course all the other lakes (e.g. Lake Mergozzo, Lake Orta) very beautiful.

Superb holiday flat in a great location

Every morning when we looked at the lake from the balcony terrace, we wondered if they had hung a backdrop for us, so beautiful, so wonderful. The location of the flat is unique, but you have to be good on foot to climb the many steps. But it's the height that gives you the wonderful view. The furnishings and layout of the flat, which is actually more of a house, are very tasteful, and the furnishings are very comfortable and good. There is really nothing missing, the smallest detail has been thought of. Even though we couldn't meet the landlady personally, it was very nice that she always checked on our well-being by phone and you could call her at any time. So everything was provided for a wonderful holiday in beautiful surroundings. We will certainly be happy to come back.

Finally been to LAGO again

After spending our first summer holiday in 2019 in the small holiday home complex with lots of privacy a little above Belgirate on Lake Maggiore (a few kilometres away from Stresa) and feeling very comfortable there, we (a married couple with an adult son) were happy to stay there again in 07.2022, this time in a neighbouring holiday flat of our landlady within the complex. As we expected, there was nothing, but nothing at all wrong with the flat. It is perfect, high quality and fully equipped with all imaginable amenities for a successful self-catering holiday. The location with a breathtaking view of Lake Lago is convenient for beautiful excursions along the west coast of Lake Lago to the Swiss northern part of the lake to Ascona and Locarno, but also for a day trip to Milan. Our recommendation: take a leisurely boat trip across the lake (also to the east coast, e.g. to the hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso) as well as to Lake Orta (Isola San Giulio) or the bathing lake Lago di Mergozzo (village of Mergozzo); short distance from Belgirate. For cleanliness and service we also give 5 stars without reservation; the landlady and the friendly on-site manager, Alessandra, were available at all times and promptly for individual minor queries. The rental contract was handled correctly and without any complaints, the rental relationship was uncomplicated and trusting. We would certainly ask for this flat again and after our positive experience, we are happy to recommend it!

Beautiful

The flat is wonderful. Great view from the terrace, super equipment, lots of crockery and all the pots, knives etc. you could need. The location is very quiet, but you can still get to Stresa or Lesa in 10 minutes by car. A car is recommended.


The service by Yvonne and Alessandra is fast, very friendly and pleasant

Alles TOP und wie beschrieben - eine traumhafte FW

Eine Wohnung zum Ankommen und rundherum Wohlfühlen!
Im Vorfeld wurden wir bestens informiert und dann herzlich empfangen von der Vermieterin und Alessandra. Die ausführliche Informationsmappe in der Wohnung hat alle weiteren Fragen bestens beantwortet.
Jeden Morgen gab es einen herrlichen Sonnenaufgang auf der anderen Seite des Sees, wir konnten schon im April täglich auf der Terrasse mit weitem Blick über den Lago Maggiore frühstücken und die himmlische Ruhe genießen - ein Traum!
Die Lage der Wohnung ermöglicht viele Aktivitäten, die umliegenden Orte sind wunderschön und bieten reichlich Kultur, Wander- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, z.B. auf den bunten oberitalienischen Märkten.
Ausstattung und Komfort liegen weit über dem Durchschnitt italienischer Ferienwohnungen, sie kommt auf unsere TOP-Liste.
Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen und möchten in jedem Fall wiederkommen.

Traumhafter Urlaub!

Wir waren das erste Mal am Lago Maggiore und von der wunderschönen Landschaft abgesehen war das Sahnehäubchen die wunderschöne Ferienwohnung "Nido Sul Lago". Vom ersten Tag der Buchung bis zum Ende unseres Urlaubs hat sich Frau Nelissen- Ruesch ganz lieb um uns gekümmert. Als wir in der Wohnung angekommen sind wurden wir vor Ort von Alessandra in Empfang genommenen. Sie hat uns alles gezeigt, sodass keine Fragen offen blieben. Die Wohnung ist ein Traum - es fehlt wirklich an nichts und ist genauso schön wie auf den Fotos. Morgens auf der Terrasse Frühstücken mit Blick auf den See - ohne Worte! Also, was bleibt anderes zu sagen als dass wir dieses Feriendomizil wirklich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können und wir ganz sicher nicht das letzte Mal dort waren.

Besser geht es nicht!

Eine traumhafte Aussicht, Ruhe, gute Ausstattung, absolut sauber. Die Bilder in Internet haben nicht zu viel versprochen! Dazu ein sehr netter Kontakt mit der Vermieterin, was will man mehr?

In unserer persönlichen Hitliste bisher genutzter Ferienwohnungen ist ein Platz unter den Top 3 sicher. Besonders angenehm empfanden wir den Umstand, dass die Wohnung von den anderen drei Einheiten des Komplexes nicht einsehbar ist. Man hat also letztendlich die Privatsphäre wie in einem frei stehenden Ferienhaus.

Wunderschöne Wohnung

Wenn man die steilen Treppenstufen von der Garage zur Wohnung geschafft hat, wird man mit einem Traumblick belohnt! Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und liebe- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin Yvonne ist sehr nett und unkompliziert. Geschirr und Küchengeräte sind reichlich vorhanden, so dass auch das Kochen Spaß macht. Für Golfer ist die Wohnung ebenfalls interessant, da zwei Golfplätze in der Nähe sind. Bei guter Mobilität ist diese Wohnung sehr empfehlenswert.

Wohlfühlurlaub

Rundum war es für uns ein toller Urlaub, das Nest über dem See war zum wohlfühlen und ließ keine Wünsche offen, liebevoll war alles eingerichtet und es war an alles gedacht was man brauchte oder gebrauchen könnte, wir haben schon lange keine so schöne und gut eingerichtete Ferienwohnung mehr erlebt, wobei dies keine Ferienwohnung im eigentlichen Sinne für uns war, sondern eine von lieben Menschen bereitgestellte Herberge, wo man sich wie zu Hause fühlte, mit liebevollen Details und netten Hinweisen auf die Umgebung und Unternehmungen, bis hin zu sonstigen Tipps und Ratschlägen, herzlichen Dank dafür …, die Anreise ohne Fahrzeug ist nicht zu empfehlen, trotz allem sind wir einmal zu Fuß vom Bahnhof nach der Wanderung von Stresa … puh das war nicht ohne …, ansonsten sind die knapp 65 Treppen machbar und die Ruhe und der Blick auf den See entschädigen … rundum waren wir sehr zufrieden und haben schöne Tage am Lago … und im Nest … verbracht, Danke Yvonne und bleiben Sie gesund …

Gelungene Ferien

Das Apartment entsprach genau unseren Vorstellungen und der Beschreibung im Inserat. Die Wohnung ließ keine Wünsche offen, war sehr hübsch eingerichtet und nicht nur mit dem Nötigsten ausgestattet. Die Aussicht auf den Lago Maggiore ist einmalig. Belgirate ist ein idealer Startort für Ausflüge. Die himmlische Ruhe ringsrum war sehr angenehm. Die Fahrt mit dem Auto zum Apartment durch einige Kurven auf enger Straße war ungewohnt, jedoch keine große Hürde. Insgesamt haben wir uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und einen schönen Urlaub verbracht, an den wir uns sehr gerne erinnern werden.

sehr lohnenswert

Das Haus ist sehr praktisch, komplett ausgestattet und wohnlich mit perfekten Blick über den See, gelegen auf der malerische Piemont-Seite des Lago Maggiore . Der Ort Belgirate ist dazu ein günstiger Standort für Ausflüge in die Umgebung.

Die Organisation/ Korrespondenz im Vorfeld bis hin zur Mail für die Anreise mit Wegbeschreibung und der Telefonkontakt vor Ort verliefen sehr angenehm und der Wein zur Begrüßung sowie die Einweisung durch die sehr sympathische Alessandra ließen keine Wünsche offen.

Sehr nützlich waren der im Haus vorhandene Ordner und die ausgelegten Flyer mit wert- und sinnvollen Tipps .
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Die Hauseigner Yvonne und Max haben ein "Nest über den See" geschaffen und waren von Anfang bis zur Abreise zugewandte und engagierte Gastgeber!

Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Von den schönen Bildern und hervorragenden Bewertungen hatten wir uns im Vorfeld schon viel versprochen - aber "in echt" war es dann sogar NOCH schöner...!

Wir haben einfach alles genossen: Den traumhaften Blick auf den See, die Ruhe und das Vogelgezwitscher im Grün um uns herum, die sehr gut geschnittene und mit wirklich allem Komfort ausgestattete Wohnung - und natürlich die vielen schönen Entdeckungen, die wir auf unseren Ausflügen gemacht haben: Zu Fuß auf den Monte Croce, mit dem Zug (direkt von Belgirate aus) nach Mailand und per Auto das Seeufer hinauf und hinunter.

Besonders schön für einen Stadtbummel fanden wir Arona und am kleinen Privatstrand vom Beachclub "LOV" in Stresa ließen sich sogar 40° Grad nicht nur aushalten, sondern genießen!

Unbedingt empfehlen können wir auch einen Ausflug ans gegenüber liegende Ufer. Am besten mit dem Auto, denn dann lässt sich die Besichtigung von "Santa Caterina del Sasso" noch verbinden mit einem Besuch der "Villa Panza" in Varese. Schon allein die Villa selbst und der Park drumherum lohnen die doch recht weite Anfahrt - in Kombination mit der fantastischen Ausstellung auf jeden Fall unser "kulturelles Highlight"!

Vielen Dank, liebe Yvonne Nellisen-Ruesch, für diesen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im "Nido sul Lago" - wir fühlten uns perfekt aufgehoben und "betreut" (auch vor Ort von Alessandra) und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

We would be happy to recommend this flat to others! We spent a wonderful holiday in this flat! The apartment is excellently equipped, very well maintained and cosy. The location and the view are perfect! The welcome from the landlady was very friendly and warm. The information folder in the flat was very detailed and helpful, and the restaurant recommendations were very helpful. The stairs to the flat are no problem at all! All in all, this is a place for a perfect holiday!

Satisfied all round, we will be happy to come again

Around 50 steps lead up to the house. The view of Lake Maggiore is fantastic! We already enjoyed the view in the morning at breakfast. The furnishings of the flat leave nothing to be desired. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our holiday to the fullest. The communication with the landlady went smoothly, on site we were even called again if everything was okay and also with the nice lady on site everything went without problems with a few English skills. In just a few minutes by car you can be at the lake or in beautiful places not too far away. You can also reach a supermarket in 10-15 minutes by car. The nearby islands can be reached by a nice boat trip. All in all a great holiday, we would love to come back.

Look, marvel and enjoy - perfect!

The location of the flat is beautiful. You can always enjoy the view over Lake Maggiore with the changing light conditions. There are plenty of places to visit. Comprehensive documentation is available in the flat. The furnishings are functional, tasteful and left nothing to be desired. The flat is well suited for seniors, as long as there are no physical limitations. But as long as you can still manage three floors on foot, it's no problem. Special mention should also be made of the nice and uncomplicated manner of the landlady as well as the on-site manager
We would like to thank Mrs. Nelissen and Sra. Alessandra for the caring support. Everything was simply top.

Prospects want to be paid for

We enjoyed our stay in your flat very much, even though we had to climb the many stairs. But after a few days you get used to it.

And I saw the many furnishings and, for example, the toilet paper with completely different eyes.
The view has to be paid for :-)

They took great care of us, I have never experienced that before. Great!
Before arrival, a welcome email with all kinds of useful tips, a call to the flat to see if everything was OK. Short email before departure. That is a service.

The flat is tastefully furnished and you have the feeling of being the first user. Nothing is scuffed, scratched, the upholstery and cushions are tiptop. The bathroom is beautiful.

The view is great and the lake area is quiet. The view across to the mountains on Lake Como is great.

Unfortunately, you can't walk down to the village. Or only sporty people. Unfortunately, it's a steep climb back up. But for us it was ok. You get used to it.
I would go there again.

apartment with the most fabulous views of Lago Maggiore

Our memorable week in this lovely house situated so very high above the lake provided us with exceptional views of the lake whilst being centrally situated for access to the beautiful and interesting towns along the lakeshore although a car is essential - garage is provided. The birdsong is delightful and the serenity and peace of the location is wonderful.
The house is very well equipped, clean and comfortable with a magnificent terrace overlooking the lake and a beautiful little garden where we could BBQ.
Owners Yvonne and Max made sure our stay was relaxed and lacked for nothing.
We intend to return and is a week we would like to repeat.

Ferienwohnung mit Traumaussicht

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet jeglichen Komfort. Wir haben im Turmzimmer wundervoll geschlafen und der Sonnenaufgang über dem See war traumhaft. Unsere 79 jährige Mutter hat die vielen Treppenstufen gut gemeistert und sich im 2. Schlafzimmer im EG sehr wohlgefühlt.
In der Wohnung ist an Alles gedacht , man merkt deutlich, dass die Feriengäste sich wohlfühlen sollen.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wohlfühl-Oase mit fantastischem Blick

Das Nido sul Lago erfüllt die Erwartungen genauso, wie sie durch die Bilder geweckt werden. Sehr gute Betreuung, ausgezeichnete Ausstattung und jeden Tag einen fantastischen Blick auf den Lago, beginnend mit dem Sonnenaufgang morgens um sechs. Es ist ein guter Startpunkt für unterschiedliche Aktivitäten (z.B. Mit dem Boot zum Markt) oder um in Ruhe in einem guten Buch zu lesen. Das Auto (das man unbedingt braucht) steht gut gekühlt in der Garage, um am Abend in Ruhe zum Essen nach Belgirate, Stresa, oder Arona zu fahren (wenn es nicht zu gross ist, unser Captur war zufrieden), oder zum Einkaufen in den gut sortierten Supermarkt in Lesa. Brötchen zu Fuß holen geht eher nicht, darauf muss man sich einstellen, ebenso wie auf die letzten Stufen hinauf. Aber der tolle Blick ist nunmal nur von hoch oben zu haben. Wenn uns etwas gestört haben könnte, dann ist es der neidische Blick auf den Pool, der 50 Meter weiter unten zu sehen ist - aber das ist klagen auf hohem Niveau.

Traumurlaub am Lago Maggiore

Es war ein Traumurlaub. Den Lago Maggiore zu erleben, ist schon etwas Besonderes! Wir waren jeden Tag mit einem Schiff an einem anderen Ort des Lago Maggiore und am Abend ging es dann wieder zurück nach Stresa. Die Höhepunkte waren die Besuche der Borromäischen Inseln!!! Sehr empfehlenswert!
Der Blick vom Ferienhaus auf den See ist unbezahlbar!
Dafür ist man aber auch unbedingt aufs Auto angewiesen. Das haben wir aber gerne in Kauf genommen.
Das Ferienhaus ist spitze! Sehr schön und sauber!
Wir haben uns dort richtig wohl gefühlt.
Im Haus finden sich alle Informationen, die man während des Aufenthaltes im Haus und zur Organisation von Touren rund um den Lago Maggiore braucht.
Da blieb aber auch gar keine Frage offen!

Super Wohnung mit fantastischer Aussicht

Die Wohnung entspricht genau den Bildern. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Der Ausblick auf den See ist unvergesslich. Die Vermieter haben an alles gedacht, wir waren auch froh über sehr viel Infomaterial von der Gegend. Morgens auf dem Balkon vom Schlafzimmer im "Turm" haben wir das Vogelgezwitscher sowie den Blick ins Grüne und auf den See sehr genossen. Die Gegend rund um die Wohnung ist sehr ruhig.
Die 59 Stufen sind bei Hitze und mit Gepäck oder Einkäufen nicht ganz einfach zu bewältigen, wobei die Aussicht die Anstrengung vergessen lässt.
Wir bedanken uns für die Fürsorge sowohl bei Senora Alessandra als auch bei der Vermieterin Yvonne.
Sollten wir nochmal einen Urlaub am Lago Maggiore verbringen, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder ins Nido sul Lage kommen.

Traumaussichten

Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit extrem gut ausgestatteter Küche und sehr schönem Badezimmer. Vom Balkon hatten wir einen traumhaften Ausblick auf den Lago Maggiore und konnten bereits beim Frühstück volle Sonne genießen.
Die freundliche Vermieterin hat auf unsere Anfragen schnell mit ausführlichen Informationen reagiert. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

Relaxing at Lago Maggiore

Together with my wife and son (14) we have spend a week at lago Maggiore.
The apartment 'Nido sul Lago' is very well located. Stresa is a few minutes, Lago d'Orta and National Parc Val Grande and snowy mountain tops are close by.
The apartment itself is exceptionally clean, very well prepared and equiped. The view across the lake is great. This is by far the best maintained rental we have come across during our travels.
