Description
Villa TARA was completed in July 2012 with great attention to detail. The property from the famous film: " Gone with the Wind" gave this villa its name. TARA is designed to give you the feeling of having arrived.
In the morning, you are greeted by the sun and the cheerful chirping of birds, and when you look outside, the many beautiful colours of the island. You will see the White Mountains, the Akrotiri peninsula and look out over the Aegean Sea - simply a magnificent panorama! Relax by your private pool of over 40 sqm.
The 125 sqm villa is divided into two living levels, connected by a large wide staircase with 5 steps and a beautiful round arch. From the whole villa you can enjoy the magnificent view.
The spacious living and dining area together with the high-quality fitted kitchen make up the first level.
On the second level are the two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
The bathrooms each have 2 washbasins and a large barrier-free shower.
Outside, the beautiful large pool and the large terrace with shady pergola await you.
The brick outdoor barbecue is ready for your grilling skills and the carport provides shade for your car.
The villa stands on a plot of over sqm and the garden area is laid out in Mediterranean style.
The villa shares a square metre plot with Villa Lofos, which faces the other side of the plot. This ensures privacy for both houses!
The villa is cleaned once a week, on request also twice a week and bed linen and towels are changed.

Location and surroundings of object
Your villa is situated on a hill with a fantastic view. In a few minutes you are in Rethymnon, the secret capital of Crete. To the south you need about 30 minutes. Atsipopoulo is situated above the bay of Rethymnon. If you drive on the Old National Road from Rethymnon, you will come directly to Atsipopoulo. Many residents of Rethymnon have built their detached houses there, and numerous shops and other commercial enterprises have settled there. If you drive from Atsipopoulo to Prines, you will find the taverna "Giannikos" on the right-hand side, which also serves as a kafenion. This also includes the tables and chairs on the small, cosy village square right next to it, which is shaded by some large trees. Just opposite is the smaller of Prines' two mini-markets. The old village centre is behind the taverna "Giannikos". If you continue along the old national road for 100 m in the direction of Georgioupolis, you will see Antonis' taverna "The Olive" on the right-hand side. Here you can eat Greek dishes prepared by mum every day. Dad grills and Antonis serves. There is also a cosy morning pint here. Almost opposite is the larger of the two mini-markets and the local citizens' office. At the end of the village there is a petrol station on the right, a butcher's shop and a country store, and at the very end there is the cafe "Gesthimani" with a snack bar. The village of Atsipopoulo has almost all the shops you could wish for within easy reach.

Please also have a look at kretafan, where you will find many guestbook entries Do you want to arrive earlier or leave later? Long-term holiday? Ask us! We will be happy to call you back! We will be happy to help you book a rental car. The car will be handed over to you at the airport. You will be expected at the airport, there is no need to queue and wait anywhere. We take care of everything for you in advance. You can then leave the car at the airport. Since the beginning of 2024, the Greek government has introduced an eco-tax. This is staggered by category and season: The fee from March 1st - October 31st is €10.00/night per villa and from November 1st - February 29th it is €4.00/night, regardless of the number of guests. The amount can be transferred to us before arrival, or paid in cash, or with Visa or Master card. |

Heavenly peace, dreamlike view.
In this dreamy villa we felt very comfortable. We really enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and the view of the sea. The villa and the garden were very well maintained. The care provided by the Beibl family was once again very pleasant and competent. We will be back. Ute and Jürgen.

Luxury holiday in a dreamlike setting
The holiday in Villa TARA left nothing to be desired. Very well maintained house, fantastic pool, breathtaking view and unbelievable tranquillity. We found all the information in the villa that is important for a holiday - great tips for eating out, beach recommendations etc.... The expectations we had from the pictures were exceeded once again - it is really so beautiful there We enjoyed our holiday to the fullest and thank the Beibls for the very good tips and the opportunity to spend our holiday here, We will be back!

Dream house with character and foresight.
We switched from Villa Maffeo to Villa Tara after 14 days because we booked too late. We already know some houses of the Beibls, they are all great, so no problem. We have already booked two villas of the Beibls before.
The view from Tara is uniquely beautiful. Great sunsets, great view of the peninsula... The equipment is more than complete and everything is clean. You can reach Prines/Atsipopolo in a few minutes. There are three taverns, one better than the other.
We will definitely come back.
