15 13 is located in a quiet street (Rue de la Fraternité, it can not be invented!), Close to the center of Ribeauvillé and the Tour des Bouchers. From the outside, the entrance resembles a doll's house: the front timber-framed is very typical and the house is built on the city wall of the medieval village. Yet, the interior is decidedly modern: Laura, in good Italian, let speak its sense of elegance and style. We do not suspect space! The owners have worked to make the accommodation very comfortable and welcoming for their guests.
The house can accommodate 2 to 8 people. 2 floors, there is a kitchen, a dining room, a terrace, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. With the bonus of a lovely view over the roofs of Ribeauvillé, vineyards and castle St Ulrich.
And why the cottage he called the 15 13? Quite simply, because the house was built in 1513. Besides, on the portal, you will see the carved stone indicating the age of the house.

1513 is in the center of the city of Ribeauvillé in the picturesque historical center, at the bottom of the Rue de la Fraternité. The house is quiet and close to all shops and attractions. Ribeauvillé is the medieval town of the Lords of Ribeaupierre. Located on the Wine Route, between vineyards and mountains, Ribeauvillé is a charming town which has successfully capitalized on its heritage.

In the Middle Ages, the city was the seat of the Lordship of the family Ribeaupierre (whence the name of the city of Ribeauvillé).
The Ribeaupierres build three castles, whose ruins still dominate today majestically over the city and surrounding hills.
All three are accessible by a footpath, on the mountainside:
Castle St. Ulrich (the oldest and most important of the 3 castles)
Girsberg castle
Castle High Ribeaupierre (as the name suggests, the highest of the 3 castles).
Its medieval fortifications, the town still retains some of its ramparts wall and some of its defensive towers, the "Tour des Bouchers" (13th century, rebuilt in the 18th century), which owes its name to the butchers' guild (charged in case of attack to defend the city from the tower).
The Mainstreet and its picturesque neighborhoods, bordered by flower-filled buildings (the 15th to 18th century), are dotted with squares adorned with Renaissance style fountains.

The owners live nearby and are available to give you all tips and addresses. We love cooking, good wine, travel and meetings. Laura is Italian, Alsace for 20 years, working as a consultant in operational marketing and event communication. Christophe is Alsatian, young retiree is responsible for the maintenance of our house and the cottage. Their son, Frederic, is in college and likes to travel as much as her parents. We invested a lot of energy and effort to make this cozy house and "cozy". Everything is thought out and planned. 110 m2 are available. A beautiful terrace with view on castles, large bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with shower and the other with bath and shower. Fully equipped kitchen, new bedding, flat screen TV, wifi, .... in short everything the desirable comfort.
