Description
Our renovated and lovingly furnished holiday home is quietly located on the outskirts of Zandt, in a small holiday area.
A house with a special charm and individual touch awaits you.
"Welcome home" is written in capital letters with us.
A free, private parking space is located directly in front of our property. A few steps away from our holiday home you are in the open field. Around 80 km of marked hiking trails start nearby and lead around Zandt.
The approx. 100 m² fully fenced garden behind the house is perfect for a relaxing family holiday, even with a dog. The fence is largely overgrown with tree hedges and shrubs. On the large sun terrace (21 m²) there is a brick barbecue fireplace for cosy evenings. In addition to garden furniture with parasol, there are also sun loungers and relax loungers.
In front of our house there is also a beautifully landscaped, open front garden. This means that our house is not located directly on the small access road, which is only used by holiday guests. This means that you can enjoy much more privacy than in other houses in the area!
In 2022 we have completely renovated the entrance area. The front door and all windows were replaced with sound- and heat-insulating light larch wood. The hallway with wardrobe connects the modern daylight bathroom with bedroom 2 and the large living room.
There are 3 appealing bedrooms for up to 6 guests (recommendation: max 4 adults and 2 children). The master bedroom, as well as bedroom 2 are located on the ground floor. Bedroom 3, equipped with a double bed (180x200 cm), is located on the gallery open to the living room on the first floor. The very beautiful master bedroom with window overlooking the garden is equipped with a noble beam bed made of solid wild oak (180x200cm), new since 2023, and a real wood wardrobe with full-length mirror. Bedroom 2 is quietly located on the front garden side and has a French double bed (140x200 cm). We therefore recommend a maximum occupancy of 1 adult or 2 children for this room.
The very spacious living room is the central room of the house. It conveys a particularly spacious living feeling due to the open construction with wooden panelling up to the roof. From there you reach the master bedroom, via a (rather steep) wooden staircase to the gallery and via the large terrace into the fully fenced garden.
For entertainment, there is a new 43-inch satellite TV (incl. HDMI), radio/CD/DVD (MP3/USB), and WLAN via LTE.
Of course, you can also read in peace on the comfortable seating group from Schillig. By the way, our small reading corner on the gallery contains approx. 300 books for young and old! In addition, there are numerous games available.
Our holiday home has natural gas central heating, with manual control in the living room, for individual and thus economical heat regulation. The large tiled stove - since 2022 with a new heating insert of the latest technology and thus low-emission with maximum energy efficiency - provides a cosy atmosphere. If desired, it can heat the entire house - in addition to or as an alternative to the central heating.
The living room is adjoined by the open-plan kitchen, which thus becomes a kitchen/living room.
In this cosy kitchen, which is open to the living room, you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun on a new corner bench group made of wild oak.
The kitchenette (Nolte) is well equipped with a new electric cooker from Miele, including oven and ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher (45 cm) and a refrigerator with freezer compartment. In addition to more than sufficient crockery and cutlery, you will find numerous small household appliances, such as a coffee machine, toaster, kettle, egg boiler, hand and hand blender, baking dishes and even a Senseo. Self-catering is therefore very well possible. Common spices are available for you free of charge.
The small but nice shower room with daylight has been completely renovated and modernised.
It now has a large, floor-level shower (100x85 cm), WC, washstand with large, illuminated mirrored cabinet and hairdryer. Hand soap and toilet paper for the first few days are included.
You can use the washing machine and dryer in our house free of charge. Detergent is also free of charge!
Bed linen and towels can be booked on request at a reasonable price.
An information folder and numerous brochures are available to help you plan your holiday. You are welcome to use the available hiking backpacks during your stay.
If you wish, we can provide you with the VLC guest card free of charge, with which you can travel by bus and train free of charge and receive further discounts.
You will feel completely at home in our holiday home, which is also the conclusion of over 70 positive reviews from our guests. Some have already stayed with us several times.

Location and surroundings of object
The municipality of Zandt is located in the Upper Bavarian Forest, approx. 9 km south-east of Cham.
Families (also with dogs), nature lovers and those seeking relaxation will be thrilled, because extensive hikes - away from the roads - are possible with us directly from the holiday home. Forest and meadows are not far away, as our holiday home is located on the outskirts of the village. You are already in the open field after a few steps. Since the terrain in the countryside from our holiday home is mostly not too hilly, leisurely walks are also possible. For families with children, the "Kellerberg Nature and Adventure Park" is located near our holiday home, as well as a large playground (approx. 500m).
In the tranquil town of Zandt - which nevertheless has a very good infrastructure - there are a bakery, a butcher (cheap daily take-away meals), a small grocery market "Um's Eck" (fresh bread rolls on Sundays from 9 to 11 a.m.!), 2 restaurants ("Zum Bräu" with beer garden, "Alte Post" with sun terrace), pizzeria "Da Noi" (also for take-away), Raiffeisenbank (with ATM, also for Sparkasse), petrol station, car repair shop, hair studio and even a doctor available and within walking distance (approx. 500 to 900 metres, partly hilly).
Be sure to visit the alpaca farm "Grüne Au" in Zandt, with its very special "pets" and the "Wollstüberl".
You can also enjoy a hearty meal at the "Pfahlhof" country inn, which you can reach on foot in approx. 2.5 km.
In the neighbouring village of Miltach (3 km) there is a vet, dentist, savings bank, pharmacy, Edeka (with bistro), large drinks market and Norma (fresh "Brathendl" or "Haxn mit Brezn" at the grill cart on Thursdays).
In addition to Miltach Castle, a hiking break in the "Waffelfabrik Beier" with attached "Cafe Waffel" in the old railway station is recommended there! Here you can enjoy a good breakfast in unusual surroundings - in a real dining car - as well as lunch or coffee and cake.
Fresh milk directly from the farm is available in Miltach - Oberndorf (2 km) at the Heiglbauer - at the milk vending machine even around the clock.
Furthermore, in Cham (9 km) you will find, among others: Aldi, Lidl, Kaufland, Netto, REWE, dm, Fressnapf, McDonald's and Burger King - all coming from Zandt, mostly along the main road into the town centre.
Not only the quiet, relaxing holiday is possible here in Zandt. There are numerous opportunities for leisure activities in the surrounding area
There is guaranteed to be something for every taste and for the whole family.
At the Tourist-Info (8.30 to 11.30 a.m.), in the town hall, you can get lots of information about the region.
Several marked hiking trails (approx. 80 km in total) start near our holiday home - in the centre of the village at the hiking board, opposite Tourist-Info. Apart from hiking, Nordic walking (sticks for hire in the village), jogging and cycling are very popular with our guests. Cycle paths start from Zandt and lead for kilometres along the river "Regen" or to the Höllenstein reservoir.
Bicycles, canoes and even e-bikes can be rented in the vicinity or neighbouring villages (Tourist Info).
For families with children, a day trip to the Churpfalzpark in Loifling, only about 10 km away, is worthwhile with over 80 attractions and moderate entrance fees. Dogs up to 12 kg are allowed there in a dog buggy (for rent).
The 12.6 ha spa and recreation park in Bad Kötzting (approx. 9 km) is also recommended for relaxation. Leashed dogs are allowed there.
Boat trips on the Blaibachsee lake, 8 kilometres away, or canoeing on the "Regen" river are a must in good weather. The nearby Höllenstein reservoir is also worth a trip - by hiking, in about 4 km walking distance from the Blaibachsee car park.
Trips along the Glass Route give you an insight into Bavarian glass art
In the Czech Republic, approx. 35 km away, you can shop inexpensively (in duty-free shops at the border or Czech souvenir shops), refuel cheaply or enjoy the Bohemian Forest.
A leisurely or active winter holiday is also highly recommended here. Winter walks in the snow, tobogganing, cross-country skiing or downhill skiing. Everything is possible! You can find out many details, also about cross-country trails and slopes in the surrounding area, on our homepage.
By car, bus or train, there are no limits to further leisure activities.
All in all, the best conditions for a great time in the beautiful Bavarian Forest.

Wellness vacation
We spent a very relaxing week on vacation at the Degenhardt family's house.
The house is not only very well equipped, but also beautifully decorated.
The beautiful garden and terrace also invite you to relax.
Therefore, our dog also felt very comfortable.
The communication with the Degenhardt family and the manager Mrs. Heigl was very friendly and uncomplicated.

Holiday with dog
We were on holiday in Zandt from 23.7. to 30.07. with our dog. The holiday home was very well equipped. The beds were perfect and the bathroom and kitchen were excellent. The small garden was the highlight for our dog in the early morning. He watched the squirrels....The area was very beautiful even if you always had to drive a little further. Not to forget the nice Mrs. Heigel who I unfortunately only got to know on the phone. I would recommend this holiday home to anyone looking for accommodation with a dog. Recommendable holiday home to feel good
We spent a relaxing, beautiful holiday week in the holiday home. The accommodation was very clean and furnished and decorated with great attention to detail. We personally liked the garden with barbecue facilities very much. The terrace was often and gladly used during the holiday week.
The communication with the hosts and the house manager was very good
Zandt is centrally located in the Bavarian Forest, beautiful towns, forests and lakes are in the surrounding area. You can find extensive information about them in the house

Superb and beautifully furnished holiday home.
For the children, it was a real challenge to find the right thing for the evening among all the DVDs, board games and books. Actually, we should have stayed three weeks longer to explore everything.
The next time we go on holiday to the Bavarian Forest, this house will be our first destination again.

The Perfect Vacation Home

Very Good
A very nice tastefully furnished house, with a beautiful garden. We had enough space with 5 adults and a toddler as well as 2 dogs, for whom everything was also on site.
The house and the landlords deserve the 5 stars I give them. Unfortunately, my husband's rating didn't work as he wanted because he didn't make sure that the 5 stars he deserved were marked. I would rent the holiday home again at any time.

"Willkommen zu Hause"
trifft es auf den Punkt genau. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in einem sehr sauberen und, bis ins kleinste Detail, liebevoll eingerichteten Ferienhaus. Beim Öffnen der Tür kam sofort dieser Wow-Effekt. Auch hat es uns an Nichts gefehlt, es war Alles vorhanden. Selbst das Schmuddelwetter konnte die Stimmung nicht vermiesen, da man es sich auch so richtig schön gemütlich machen konnte, es sind eine große Auswahl an Spiele, CD's und DVD's vorhanden. Auch für unseren gehbehinderten Sohn (mit Rollstuhl) war dieses Haus kein Problem.
Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten für Wanderungen und auch für Ausflüge. Bäcker ist nur ein paar Meter entfernt, hatte aber leider zum Zeitpunkt unseres Aufenthaltes gerade wegen Urlaub geschlossen. Aber es gibt auch noch weitere Möglichkeiten, um an frische Brötchen zu gelangen.
Wir würden gern wieder kommen und können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Top holiday
We felt completely at home in this clean and well-maintained holiday home. Everything is available and comfortably and tastefully furnished. The - fenced - garden is an oasis of well-being and super suitable if you have a dog with you. There is parking space for a car and you can quickly go shopping from there. The location - between Cham and Arber - invites you to many relaxing and interesting excursions. Everything is perfect and the accommodation is highly recommended.

Angekommen und wie zu Hause gefühlt
Wir, 2 Mädels und 2 kleine Hunde wollten in diesem Jahr wieder einmal in unserem schönen Land Urlaub machen und sind bei der Suche auf dieses Häuschen gestoßen.
Der Preis für die 1 Woche und Sommerzeit war absolut im Rahmen.
Was wir bei der Buchung, Anreise und Abreise erlebt haben war der.....HAMMER!!!!!!
Habe öfters E-Mail Kontakt mit Jörg gehabt zwecks allgemeine Fragen und es kam IMMER wenige Stunden eine nette und freundliche Antwort.
Zur Anreise.....Schlüssel war wie besprochen am vereinbarten Ort und als wir die Türe aufgemacht haben, einfach nur WOW. Super sauber, hell und sehr sehr gemütlich eingerichtet.
Es ist alles...wirklich alles vorhanden...egal was Geschirr, Besteck, Waschmittel, Weichspüler, Küchengewürze angeht!!! Da hatten wir schon ganz andere Ferienwohnungen oder Häuser.
Der Garten und Grill lädt auch bei Regen zum Grillen ein
Garten ist nach hinten KOMPLETT eingezäunt, so das man in Ruhe Kochen, Grillen kann ohne das man Angst haben muss das die Fellnasen ausbüxen.
Ein Infoordner ist ebenfalls im Haus wo man alle Kaufmöglichkeiten, Tierärzte, WLAN Wanderrouten beinhalten.
Wandern ist ebenfalls super möglich, egal ob weite oder kurze Runden :-)
Abreise war ebenfalls TOP mit der Kontaktlosen Schlüsselübergabe organisiert.
Wir würden uns sehr freuen bald wieder die Gäste von Familie Degenhardt sein zu dürfen!

Hält, was es verspricht!
Ein wirklich außergewöhnlich gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus für erholsamen Urlaub mit Hund. Man merkt, dass das Haus auch vom Vermieter zuweilen selbst genutzt wird, denn es ist wirklich wohnlich und gepflegt. Ruhig gelegen, Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Haus, Garten schön sichtgeschützt. Gassigänge vom Haus aus bestens. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Ausführliche Ausflugstipps vorhanden. Alles unkompliziert!

So geht Urlaub!
Dank der üppigen Ausstattung und der vorbildlichen Sauberkeit waren wir unmittelbar nach Ankunft im Urlaubsmodus. Die herrliche Terasse mit Grill, der kleine aber ungemein ansprechende Garten laden förmlich ein alle Fünfe gerade sein zu lassen. Und das haben wir die ganze Woche überin dieser Wohlfühloase getan. Der Bäcker und die Landmetzgerei sind fußläufig zu erreichen, da macht das Frühstück im Grünen doppelt Spaß. Von uns gibt es in alles Belangen eine klare Weiterempfehlung, WIR waren auf jeden Fall nicht zum letzten Mal da.

Ideal für Paar mit kleinerem Gund
Wir suchten: gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus mit hundesicher eingezäuntem Garten (auch für kleinen Hund!). Spazier- und Wanderwege ab Haustür.
Keinen Wert legten wir diesmal auf Gaststätten, Restaurants, Abendunterhaltung usw.
Diese Woche sollte die erste Gewöhnung unseren 7 monatigen Bolonka an Aufenthalt und Übernachtungen außerhalb des gewohnten Umfelds sein - das hat hervorragend geklappt!
Fazit nach dieser Woche: wir fanden genau was wir suchten. Insgesamt alles sehr entspannt! …kommen vermutlich wieder.

Ich war vom 16.4. - 26.4.2018 im Ferienhaus der Familie Degenhardt in Zandt. Ich kann nur sagen, ich war sehr zufrieden. Ausstattung und auch alles andere waren top. Sehr sauber. Wunderschöne Umgebung, man kann wahnsinnig viel unternehmen.
Mir und meinen beiden Hunden hat es sehr viel Spaß gemacht in diesem schönen Haus mit Superausstattung zu wohnen. Außerdem hatten wir warmes, sonniges Wetter, und das im April.

Wir haben alles vorgefunden wie erwartet. DVD, Spiele, Bücher, Playmobil für die Kinder - alles vorhanden. Man merkt sofort, dass der Vermieter auch gerne selber dort Urlaub macht. Das Badezimmer ist neu hergestellt worden und nach unserem Urlaub, soll auch der Boden im Wohnzimmer erneuert werden. Dies wertet den tollen Gesamteindruck dann noch einmal auf. Wenn wir noch einmal im Bayr. Wald Urlaub machen, dann wieder hier.

Im Urlaub und doch zu Hause!
Ich habe hier einen wundervollen Urlaub gehabt. Trotz schlechtem Wetter ging es mir in dem Häuschen dank der Videothek und der Bücherei super! Es war alles sehr sauber und modern. Meinem Hund hat es auch sehr gefallen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und mit dem Auto kann man an viele tolle Orte gelangen. Selbst wenn man kein Auto hat ,oder kurz spazieren gehen möchte, kann man den Urlaub dank des tollen Wanderpfades und den Wegen sehr genießen.

Ferienhaus Degenhardt in Zandt
Das geschmackvoll und zwechmäßig eingerichtete Ferienhaus ist sehr schön, sehr sauber und es fehlt an NICHTS. Besonders haben wir das eingezäunte Grundstück für unsere Hunde geliebt. Bei der vergangenen Hitze war es drinnen angenehm kühl und wir haben die Woche sehr genossen. Im Ort gibt es ebenfalls alles, was man zum Leben braucht. Empfehlenswert ist für die, die nicht mehr eine Wanderung als Herausforderung brauchen, der Kurpark von Bad Kötzing. Die Kinder können dort den ganzen Tag sich müde spielen und toben und die Senioren , wie wir, haben die Möglickeit einfach zu genießen. Wenn es uns möglch ist, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Schönes Haus, schöne Umgebung, ein schöner Urlaub mit Hund
Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung. Es ist ein kleines gemütliches Haus mit kleinem, eingezäunten Garten. In der Küche findet man alles was man zum Kochen braucht. Wir sind freundlich empfangen worden. Die Umgebung ist für Hunde ein Paradies. Hundehalter und Hunde werden sich sehr wohl fühlen. Es ist ein sehr ruhiger Ort mit viel Wiese, Felder und Wald. Es gibt viele Ausflugsorte die man in wenigen Autominuten erreichen kann. Wir können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen und werden auch sicher einmal wiederkommen.

Alles was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht...
findet man in diesem Haus. Sehr schön eingerichtet, sogar eine Geschirrspülmaschine gibt es (obwohl sie nicht bei der Buchung aufgeführt war). Genügend Platz für uns vier und unseren Hund. Sehr nette Vermieter, schnelle Antworten.
Und vor allem ein mehr als fairer Preis für dieses Haus.

Das schönste und gemütlichste Feriendomizil seit langem! Die Ausstattung ist super klasse! Unsere Erwartungen wurden hier weit übertroffen! Die Küchenausstattung ist super! Tolles Duschbad, gemütliche Betten und es gibt sogar eine kleine Bücherei und ganz viele DVDs für gemütliche Abende! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
