Description
The Flat Cantina is situated on the ground level of La Lucciola's main house. The building's name is derived from the winery (la Cantina), which used to be located here and which included a small barn.
Once you arrive, you will find a welcome-basket in the cantina-kitchen (as in all our houses) filled with wine, coffee and pasta accompanied by sugo or salsa.
Along with your first basket of Italian food we introduce you to your first Italian words: "sugo al pomodoro" means tomato-sauce and "salsa" stands for every other tasty pasta sauce.
Thanks to this small welcome present, you can get set up and comfortable in your holiday home without worrying about your first meal ... Additionally, there are two large trees in front of your door, which have a lot to offer: feel free to pick from the figtree and eat the cherries that are ripe in May. Are you wondering at what time of the year you can enjoy the figs? When the first tree sheds itself of the fruits and drops them in front of your feet- this usually happens in Italian summer.

Location and surroundings of object
A lot of open space and history: La Lucciola
La Lucciola is 40 000 m2 big: the property is more then 100 years old and used to be a farm, which is still obvious from the grapevines, peach, apple, fig and cherry trees. A pool is situated on the property but it still leaves a lot of room for other outdoor-activities.
Right in the middle: Experience the beautiful environment
Cupramontana is a typical village in the Marches with a rustic charm. The beaches along the Adria and the mountains for hiking can be reached in 30 minutes by car, as well as the city Jesi with 40 000 inhabitants. We love La Lucciola's location: right in the middle of the "real" Italy, close to a lot of things worthy to be seen but far enough from the touristic sights so that one can really calm down.
Rating: worth discovering!
The natural surroundings with small hills, vineyards, and olive groves; the Frasassi flowstone caves, the three-day whine festival in our village, the "Passeggiata" at night in Jesi or simply having a stroll through the small allies and meeting for a chat and an "Aperitivo". What can you do here?
Enjoy yourself in our pool, play Boccia, have a barbecue, or pick figs and cherries which you can either eat straight away or turn into jam and take home as a souvenir.
What is close by?
The beaches of the Adria invite you to relax or you can bring your mountain-bike for a ride in the hills. You can play Golf at the Monte Conero (18-hole-competition and 5-hole Executive- course), which is only an hour car-drive away. You can also have a go at paragliding at a venue close by (half an hour by car)

Felt completely comfortable
Now my first week of work is almost over and I am still reminiscing about our wonderful holiday in your Cantina. I just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed our time with you: the apartment, the location, the pool, the restaurant recommendations - everything was perfect. I haven't felt so refreshed in a long time, which I attribute to feeling completely comfortable. So: thank you for your hospitality and greetings from Annette and family.

1997 on a trip to Spain, we had the idea to live sometime in the south. Nearly 10 years later, we fell right here, in this original piece of Italy. It was in a high summer night when the glow worms swarmed and put a magical glow over the small courtyard. Thus came "La Lucciola" what "Firefly" is in German, to his name. Today we welcome guests who appreciate exactly what we like so much: a country-unique ambience with history and comforts, plenty of rest and plenty of space for relaxation.
