The farmhouse of Hof Beuke was built in 1748. Almost unchanged and lovingly and carefully restored as a monument, you can spend your holidays here in the footsteps of Artland history. Also ideal for small seminars and workshops.
Pleasant modern living comfort (eat-in kitchen, dishwasher, underfloor heating, etc.) is combined with furnishings with genuine historical originals. Walls with clay plaster in light earth tones create a cosy living atmosphere. Witnesses of the past have been deliberately preserved: Evidence of old paint coats, switches of the first electricity supply, smoking sticks over the former hearth fire. A wood-burning stove provides cosy comfort.

History of the house:
In the Artland region, every large farm had several "Heuerhäuser". The families of the "Heuerleute", who rented the houses in a combination of rent ("Heuer") and work on the farm, lived in them. Many of them pursued a further trade, such as a craft, or migrated to the Netherlands as seasonal workers.
Inside, the Heuerhäuser were small replicas of the large Artland farms with the hall and side stables for a few sheep, pigs or a cow, the fletch running across the house with the open fireplace and the living quarters in the rear chamber.
The Heuerhaus of the Beuke farm was built in 1748 and moved to the Wehdel field in 1850. Restored in style as a monument, you can spend your holidays here in the footsteps of Artland history and immerse yourself in the living world of the past. Variable room layout.

A dream of a holiday home
This is the second time we have been here as a group of 6/7 and we had a great time! The house is well-equipped, beautifully situated and you can see how much heart and soul has been put into the restoration of this monument. The host, Mr Beuke, is also very pleasant, uncomplicated and was able to help us in all matters.
Relaxing evenings in front of the fireplace in winter, enjoying the sun on the large outdoor area in summer, a campfire in the evening...at any time of year, the Heuerhaus is worth a visit. We will be back!

Fantastic house!
We have been guests at the Heuerhaus for a few days, and it was a wonderful experience. The contact with the landlord went excellently, both during the booking period and during our stay. The house is well furnished and also suitable for the elderly (the oldest guest being 88 years old). The garden was well maintained, and the play barn was ideal. The dogs could also be outside and enjoy themselves. In short, a place that we will definitely visit again.

Lovingly restored house in a dreamlike location
We enjoyed our stay at the Heuerhaus very much. It has been restored with great attention to detail and you feel like you are in a place of living history. The large property in the middle of the beautiful artland nature is ideal for relaxing. We would love to come back again!
