The apartment Sonnenblume is located in the health resort Vulkaneifel, a lovely place for 2-3 persons to explore the variety of the Eifel in all its facets. The ground-level terrace with sun furniture and awning, as well as the adjoining large meadow with shade-providing old trees, invites you to relax and unwind. The cozy living room with sofa bed and view of the valley offers a third person a spacious accommodation. SAT-TV, receiver, radio, CD player, DVD player and W-LAN, we offer our guests the technical equipment of the holiday flat Sonnenblume. A built-in kitchen with oven, refrigerator with **** ice compartment and a dishwasher are available. In the double bedroom you will find beds with an open base and comfortable, adjustable slatted frames as well as a hygienic floor covering. A children's travel bed is available as required. All morning, the modern, new bathroom with floor-level shower entrance and a wellness rain shower welcomes you to a new holiday. In all rooms there is underfloor heating! And if the sun does not shine, a solarium and a Finnish sauna with fragrant sauna oils and relaxation music are at your disposal for your convenience!

Location and surroundings of object
The **** FeWo Sonnenblume lies close to the forest and quiet, completely without through-traffic in Daun-Boverath. From here, hiking trails and circular routes go directly into the nearby forest. The entrance into the Eifelsteig, the Maare-Mosel-Radweg, the Kosmosradweg and the Traumpfade begin almost directly in front of the front door. The nearby Kreisstadt Daun can be reached comfortably on foot and of course by car in no time. All well-known shopping possibilities are available. On the weekend we offer our guests a bread roll service. Daun is the district town of the Vulkaneifel district, south of the Hohen Eifel on the river Lieser. The landscape is characterized by the volcanic character. km to km southeast of the city center of Daun are the Dauner Maare, three directly adjoining crater lakes separated by their tuff ramparts. Swimming pools are integrated in two of these pools. The Gemündener Maar, for example, invites with its crystal clear water for swimming, boating and also fishing. The "Weinbild Maar" is the "symbol of the Eifel melancholy". Gentle slopes, on which the Eifelgold - as the Besenginster in the Volksmund is called - lie in the early summer, lie around the mostly turquoise shimmering water. The city of Daun is home to the Eifel volcano museum as well as an indoor pool, a Kinopalast and a spa park with herb garden as well as a duck pond of peace and relaxation. Sports enthusiasts will find the Maare Mosel cycle path, the Kosmosradweg, Eifelsteig, the Traumpfade and much more. The annual cycling marathon (always in September) is a special event. Likewise "classical music on the volcano", the Krimifestival and many other highlights. The city of Daun is a spa town and has iron-containing mineral springs. This water is taken for cooking coffee and it is very appreciated by passionate tea drinkers. The area was already populated for the first time in the 7th century BC. At that time the Celts had settled on the fortified Basaltberg in Daun. The Romans also used this striking hill of the Liesertal as growth, as can be deduced from Roman finds. The place name is derived from the Celtic-Roman word Dunum for fence or for a fortified hill, thus a fortress. In 1337 Daun was first mentioned as a town. In 1346, the city was awarded with its own market law and Daun was also the location of a court of law.

The Naturfreibad Gemündener Maar. In the dense Buchenwald, close to Daun, the Gemündener Maar with its 7 hectares of water is the smallest of the three famous Eifel eyes. Deep can be seen the clear water, but it is not enough to get to the bottom of 38 m. It is accessible both on foot, as a hike, or by car (5 min). An unforgettable and unique experience is to swim in the water of the Kratenseen. Winter in the Eifel. Toboggan run, cross-country skiing and downhill skiing, ski lifts. The two ski huts also invite you to aprè ski. Skating on the frozen maars! It is wonderful to look in the winter in the snowy expanse of the Eifel.

Relaxed vacation
We had a very relaxed stay and were able to recover well despite bad weather.
The holiday apartment is very comfortably furnished. The kitchen is well-equipped. The beds are very comfortable. Another plus point is the sauna located in the house. The apartment is a good starting point for hikes.
There was nothing that we didn't like.

Eifel vacation

Besser geht es kaum
Ein First-Class-Hotel kann hier nicht mithalten!
Eine wirklich schnuckelige Ferienwohnung in Aufteilung und Einrichtung, alles sehr sauber und funktionell. Wer wirkliche Ruhe will, der setze sich auf die Terrasse und genießt.

It was nice !
The flat is excellently equipped. A super nice bathroom, well-equipped kitchen and a very good bed made us sleep fantastically.
It is really nice to have breakfast in the garden in the morning and then set off with small provisions to explore the beautiful area around Daun. Especially the Mare and its surroundings, of course
The landlords are incredibly friendly and happy to help with information.

Lots of time for two
We spent eventful days in the Volcanic Eifel. We saw something different every day and had a bit of wellness in between. Nevertheless, we felt we had to come back again because we didn't see everything.
As relaxed as the day began in the wonderfully furnished holiday flat, so relaxed did we let it end. A glass of wine on the terrace or the cosy couch. Always warm feet, even when it got colder, thanks to the underfloor heating. And to find the right sleeping position, you only had to adjust the slatted frame electronically
In any case...highly recommended!!!

Weihnachten in der Eifel
Wir waren über Weihnachten in der Ferienwohnung und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich eingerichtet, Familie Phillip sehr gastfreundlich und auch die Umgebung lädt zum wandern oder Natur genießen ein. unser Eifelurlaub im November
Liebe Familie Philipp,
es war eine wundervolle Zeit bei Ihnen.
Alles war so schön, die Ferienwohnung, die Sauna und natürlich auch die Eifel.
Wir haben viel Neues gesehen obwohl wir schon öfter in der Gegend waren.
Das Wetter konnte uns nicht abhalten jeden Tag etwas zu unternehmen.
Auch der gesellige Abend (St. Martin) im Backhaus war sehr schön.
Vielen Dank, dass wir dabei sein konnten.
Leider ging die Zeit zu schnell vorbei, doch wir kommen wieder!

Een geweldig verblijf in Daun.
Wat een geweldig verblijf in Daun. En wat een prachtige vakantie woning, waar werkelijk alles aanwezig is. De mensen daar doen er alles aan om het verblijf zo comfortabel mogelijk te maken. We hebben er heerlijk gefietst en gewandeld en dat met stralend weer.
Een echte aanrader voor mensen die de Vulkaan Eifel willen bezoeken en van rust houden.

Eine schöne gemütliche helle Wohnung
Hallo zusammen,
uns hat die Ferienwohnung Sonnenblume sehr gefallen. Die Gastfreundlichkeit ließ nicht lange auf sich warten und promt waren wir gleich bei unserer Anreise zum 'Eifeler Grillen' auch als Vegetarier herzlich willkommen. Das Bad ist auf dem allerneusten Stand, überall Bodenheizung(falls vonöten), Küche zum kochen völlig ausreichend und funktional, sauber und geruchslos. Zu guter Letzt gab's zum Abschied lecker Brötchen. Solche Kleinigkeiten versüßen den Aufenthalt umso mehr.
Wir kommen gerne zur FeWo Sonnenblume wieder. :-)
Ein Tipp zum Abschluß:
Direkt vorort gibt es einige Rundwege(als lockeren Verdaungsspaziergang zB ), ohne großartig ins Auto steigen zu müssen oder vorzuplanen.
Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.

"Ankommen-Auspacken-Wohlfühlen-Genießen-Entspannen....", so geht Urlaub und das schaffen nur Sie und Ihre kleine, feine Ferienwohnung. Wir lieben diese Wohnung und diese herrliche Umgebung. Einfach im Garten auf der Liege die Sonne genießen? Für uns eigentlich undenkbar! Aber hier in der Eifel einfach genial!
Vielen Dank für die tollen Tage, die Sauna und die netten Gespräche.

Unser Kurzurlaub in der Sonnenblume..
Liebe Familie Philipp
Wir waren das erste Mal in Ihrer schönen und gemütlichen Ferienwohnung und haben uns sehr wohll gefühlt.
Die wunderschöne Umgebung, die Ruhe und Ihre herzliche Gastfreundschaft waren einfach toll.
Nicht zu toppen war der lustige Grillabend mit der leckeren Kartoffelpfanne vom Schwenkgrill.
Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Kurzurlaub in der Eifel , der durch ihre herzliche Gastfreundschaft das Tüpfelchen auf dem I war.Sie haben eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit allem was man braucht und die vor allen Dingen sehr zentral an unseren Ausflugszielen lag ( Maare, Wildfreigehege Hellenthal am Olefsee(riesig) ,Kasselburg )
