Your holiday home is located in the south-eastern Harz Mountains, about 7 km from the shopping facilities of the district town of Sangerhausen, in the heart of Germany. This region, steeped in history, has many testimonies of the past but also of the present to offer. To the regional destinations (Brocken, sky disc of Nebra, cathedral city Naumburg, champagne city Freyburg, Händel city Halle an der Saale, Weimar, Erfurt, Leipzig) you need only about 1 hour. Tourist highlights in the immediate vicinity (Europa Rosarium Sangerhausen (largest collection of roses in the world), historic European town of Stolberg, Joseph's Cross near Stolberg (largest iron double cross in the world), Tilleda Royal Palatinate, Bad Frankenhausen Panorama Painting (largest painting in the world), Heimkehle (largest karst cave in Germany), Barbarossa Cave, Rübeländer Dripstone Caves, Pullman City Western Town, Wippra Sun Toboggan Run, Lutherstadt Eisleben (Martin Luther's Birthplace and Death House, Luther's Pulpit), Hexentanzplatz, Quedlinburg, "Röhrigschacht Wettelrode" Mining Adventure Centre) only a few minutes away.
The opening hours (closed on Mondays) give you the opportunity to discuss half or full board with us or to purchase everyday necessities from us. The quiet location on the edge of the forest by the lake invites you to take a refreshing dip in the natural swimming pool in summer. Here we have sun loungers available for you free of charge on the sunny shore. In winter you can go ice skating or cross-country skiing. For hikers and mountain bikers we have maps and information material ready. Anglers are welcome at the lake and can obtain a permit from us. The "Kunstteich" lake was created in 1728 as an energy source for the mining industry of the time. Today it is one of the last of its kind.

Recommended.
It was a very nice weekend with our dog, unfortunately too short. The room was very comfortable with a view of the lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come again.
