Our holiday home Marie (****DTV) was completed in 2014. You can expect a tastefully furnished holiday home that reflects the charm of northern Germany.
In our house you should of course not do without comfort on approx. 115 sqm of living space. Enjoy some time out in the house's own log sauna or in the solarium

Location and surroundings of object
The Marie holiday home is located directly on Lake Geest, and is thus in the middle of one of the most popular excursion destinations in the region. The windsurfing club and the sailing club regularly organise regattas here. Of course, courses for beginners and advanced can also be attended.
The marina with 190 berths offers the opportunity to set sail with your own or rented boat. An 850 m long bathing beach with a sunbathing lawn and adjacent playground invites you to laze around, sunbathe and play.
The cycling and hiking trails around the approx. 180 ha lake offer opportunities for more or less extensive tours.

The municipality of Geeste is situated directly on the largest man-made lake in Europe with an area of approx. 230 ha and a sandy beach approx. 1 km long.
If you are looking for peace and quiet and love nature, Geeste is the place for you. Between water, forest and meadows, you can let your soul dangle undisturbed.
The typical Emsland landscape with the Ems and extensive high moorland areas shows its original charm in the municipality.
Geeste is home to the Geester See lake and the Emsland Moor Museum in Groß-Hesepe, two of the main tourist attractions in Emsland. In the Emsland Moor Museum, the settlement of the moor and the daily life of the pioneers can be traced.
The Geester See, a popular destination in the region, offers a particularly varied range of leisure activities. Whether beach volleyball, inline skating, swimming, diving or sailing - there are no limits to sporting activities.
The unified municipality of Geeste, with a population of around 1,000, consists of the formerly independent municipalities of Dalum, Groß Hesepe, Klein Hesepe, Geeste, Osterbrock, Bramhar, Varloh and Bienerfeld-Nord. The basic centre is the district of Dalum, which has a population of around 1,000 and is the seat of the administration, lower secondary school (pupils from class 5) and good shopping facilities (Aldi, Lidl, etc.).
The municipality of Geeste is centrally located in the middle Ems region. It borders the town of Meppen (Rühle and Schwefingen) to the north, the town of Haselünne to the east and the town of Lingen (Ems), the municipality of Lengerich and the municipality of Wietmarschen to the south. Our neighbour to the west is the municipality of Twist. The area of the municipality is 133 square kilometres.
In recent years, the municipality of Geeste has become increasingly active in the tourism sector. With the construction of the Emsland Moormuseum Groß Hesepe in the early 1980s and the creation of the 180-hectare Geester See in the mid-1980s and the adjacent 50-hectare wetland biotope with good gastronomy and a wide range of leisure activities (surfing, sailing, diving, bathing, etc.), this area has gained in importance.

Finnische Sauna ist top
War mit meinen Partnern beruflich hier. Ein gemütliches und schönes Haus. Besonders die finnische Sauna hat uns sehr gefallen. Alles ist gut organisiert, das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Unsere einzige Empfehlung: Vordach, bei Regen wird es etwas nass.

Ein Haus zum Wohlfühlen
Wir haben uns vom ersten Augenblick im Haus Marie sehr wohlgefühlt.
Liebevoll, sehr gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus mit hochwertigen Elektrogeräten
dass keine Wünsche offenlässt.
Von unseren 13 Urlaubstagen waren wir fast täglich mit dem Rad unterwegs.
Von der Haustür aus konnten wir direkt alle Radausflüge unternehmen. Von
Geeste aus gibt es ein sehr gut beschriebenes Radwegenetz, z.B. Knotpunkt-
system wie in den Niederlanden oder auch wunderbar ausgeschilderte vorgeplante Radtouren. Nach unseren Touren konnten wir uns entweder im
schönen Garten auf der Terrasse oder in der Sauna prima entspannen.
Gefallen hat uns auch der abgeschirmte Bereich nach den Saunagängen.
Ein Ferienhaus, in dem man sich einfach nur wohlfühlt, egal ob das Wetter
gut oder schlecht ist.
Es gibt noch viel zu entdecken. Wir werden sicher noch einmal wiederkommen.
Auch Herr Deters hat uns sehr gut beraten. Als Highlight in der Nähe für gutes
Essen ist übrigens der Gasthof zur Krone zu empfehlen.

Tolles Haus mit Top-Ausstattung, perfekt um zu entspannen
Hier fehlt es wirklich an nichts, alles wie angegeben und auf den Bildern dargestellt. Ein kleines technisches Problem wurde ruckzuck gelöst. Sogar das Brennholz für den Kaminofen wurde geliefert - mehr Service geht nicht. Da der Garten eingezäunt ist, konnte unser Hund gefahrlos dort Garten spielen, während wir die Terrasse genossen. Die Sauna sorgte für Entspannung nach langen Radtouren

Superfijn huis
Lang weekend verbleven in dit fijne huis met leuke tuin met goede omheining wat ideaal is met honden! Helaas waren we hier met slecht weer dus niet kunnen genieten van de tuin maar wel van het huis met heerlijke houtkachel! Nieuwe boeking gepland voor de zomer zodat we dan hopelijk ook van dd tuin kunnen genieten. Verder is het huis gezellig ingericht, compleet en goede bedden dus heerlijk kunnen slapen. Omgeving is erg fijn voor lange wandelingen, veel bos in de omgeving, leuke stadjes en bij lekker weer erg leuk om te fietsen.

Super Kurzurlaub!
Leider kommen wir erst jetzt zu der Bewertung, jedoch sind uns die wenigen Tag in dem tollen Ferienhaus noch super in Erinnerung. Uns hat es an Nichts gefehlt. Der Vermieter ist super nett, Buchung war problemlos und Kontakt jederzeit - auch vor Ort - möglich.
Ausstattung und Sauberkeit des Hauses sind besonders hervorzuheben.

Super schöner Urlaub
Wir hatten einen super schönen Urlaub in dem top ausgestatteten Ferienhaus. Es fehlte an nichts - wir hatten tolles Wetter und konnten sogar den aufblasbaren Pool nutzen :) Die Sauna und das Solarium sind natürlich Luxus pur. Wir besuchen das Ferienhaus sicherlich wieder.

Super Ferienhaus
Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Sauna war groß genug für uns vier. Das Solarium haben wir nicht genutzt, dafür aber den Kamin. Mit Waschmaschine, Trockner, Geschirrspülmaschine ist ausreichend Technik vorhanden. Herrlich ist die Nähe zum Speichersee, auch wenn das Wetter leider nicht mit gespielt hat, sind wir mehrfach kurz baden gewesen. Zu empfehlen ist der Tierpark in Nordhorn, und wenn man schonmal da ist, kann man im chinesischen Restaurant "Mongolei " sehr gut und in der Woche günstig Mittag essen. Das Gartencenter Emsflower ist auch sehenswert. Und wer Kinder hat, sollte einen Tag im Erlebnispark Schloß Danker einplanen. Für kaufsüchtige Teenager eignet sich das Outletcenter in Ochtrup. Angeln waren wir auch, wobei die Möglichkeiten begrenzt sind. Die Ems hatte Hochwasser, und die Seen der Umgebung dürfen nicht beangelt werden. Trotzdem gab es kleine und große Erfolge im Dortmund-Ems-Kanal. Alles in allem war es ein schöner Urlaub in einem empfehlenswerten Ferienhaus. Danke nochmal für die nette Begrüßung.

Erholsamer Urlaub
Wir konnten uns in diesem liebevollen und komplett eingerichteten Ferienhaus herrlich entspannen ! Zu erwähnen sind hier ganz besonders die hauseigene Sauna,die Sonnenbank,Trimmgerät und die komplett eingerichtete Küche.Ferner war es ein Highlight am Abend am brennenden Kamin,den Tag ausklingen zu lassen.
Auf den Punkt gebracht können wir dieses Feriendomizil nur weiterempfehlen!
Herzlichen Dank an Familie Deters für die Gastfreundschaft und den super Service !
