The historic Frisian cottage is located in the tranquil Emmelsbüll-Horsbüll and is ideal for holidays with the whole family and holidays with dogs.
The Katzhörn holiday home was extensively renovated and converted in 2019. You will find an adequate holiday home that meets the highest standards. Ideal for holidays with the whole family, with friends, with grandma and grandpa. Emmelsbüll-Horsbüll is an excellent starting point for eventful holidays in North Frisia, not far from the North Sea.
The Katzhörn holiday home in detail:
Sleeping:
There are four cosy bedrooms in the holiday home. One on the ground floor, equipped with a comfortable double bed (180cm x 200cm). A perfectly suitable wardrobe serves as a walk-in wardrobe here. On the upper floor there is another bedroom with the same double bed (180cm x 200cm). The two other rooms with their pull-out beds can be used for a single person (80cm x 200cm) as well as for a couple (160cm x 200cm).
This flexible and comfortable room layout makes it possible to use the rooms for a wide variety of guest constellations.
Living:
When you enter the cottage, you stand in the spacious hallway. From here, you enter the cosy living room with couch set on the right side, as well as the media area with SAT TV and book corner
Cooking/dining:
On the left side of the entrance you enter the kitchen and dining area
The kitchen is modern in design, yet cosy and tastefully furnished. All technical appliances and aids are available, such as dishwasher, electric cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and much more.
A special highlight is the seating area integrated into the kitchenette. The spacious dining table offers enough space for six people.
Bathrooms:
The bathroom on the ground floor is the main bathroom with a large shower area and sauna.
There is another WC on the upper floor of the holiday home.
Outdoor area:
The large garden plot (approx. 300 sqm) is completely enclosed with a sheep wire fence. The fence height is approx. 1.10m. The bottom side is open to a maximum of approx. 0.1m from the ground. There is therefore no danger of normal-sized dogs running away. The path around the house is paved with the typical local cat's head paving. There are deckchairs and benches in the spacious garden. Here you can also barbecue together. The wooden terrace with parasol is one of the popular highlights. Wonderful for red wine in the evening hours and the end of an eventful day. You are welcome to use our in-house bicycles (7 bikes) free of charge. There is also room for your own bikes in a lockable shelter

Our holiday home is ideal for a holiday with children and an eventful holiday time with the whole family. The comfortable layout offers both retreat possibilities and plenty of space for spending time together with your loved ones. We are also happy to provide you with a baby travel cot and high chair free of charge on site.

Your four-legged friend and faithful companion is very welcome here. The fenced garden and the natural landscape in the near vicinity are also ideal for your furry nose. We allow a maximum stay with three dogs.

Emmelsbüll-Horsbüll and the nearby surroundings offer you an attractive destination all year round. We especially love the more tranquil seasons in spring, autumn and winter and enjoy the peace and quiet and the weather.

Location and surroundings of object
Distances:
The distance to the North Sea is about 3km. It takes about 15 minutes by bike.
To Niebüll, the next bigger town, it is about 8km. Here is also the next train connection to Hamburg or in the other direction to Sylt.
Sandy beaches can be reached by ferry to Föhr or Amrum, or by train to Sylt, as well as by car in 45min to Rømø in Denmark.
Location:
The central location allows many exciting excursions, to the islands and Halligen or to Flensburg, Husum and Sankt Peter Ording. In Niebüll you will find all the well-known grocery stores and specialist retailers. The town centre has a pleasant small-town flair and Saturdays are market day.
