Description
The country house in Sweden is, as the name suggests, in the countryside, but not on a farm. Apart from a few cows that sometimes graze nearby, you won't see any livestock here. The well-preserved, small Swedish village is no longer inhabited, but every now and then someone stays in a house and picks up a paintbrush to spruce it up. Otherwise, it is totally quiet and secluded, ideal for the stressed city dweller. A huge green area in front of the house, which is automatically kept short by a tiny (silent) computer lawnmower - the latest technology in seclusion. Space without end for fun and games, and a path leads to the lake through the forest to the jetty.
Built around 1850, this is a real, typical 19th century Swedish house. However, everything in this house is new. The living space is approx. 90 sqm. The holiday home is suitable for up to 6 people. It has been lovingly furnished by the owner. The large living room is equipped with a sofa bed, wardrobe and seating area. Electric heaters are available in all rooms. There is a colour TV with SAT reception and German programmes. The kitchen is located in the living room and is very spacious and fully equipped. It is very spacious and fully equipped. Mosquito screens are fitted in front of all bedroom windows. A 2nd bedroom upstairs with 2 single beds, tiled stove and fitted wardrobes. There is also a small living room with a sofa bed upstairs. Here you can retreat and read a book in peace and quiet Bathroom is equipped with shower, WC, washbasin.

Location and surroundings of object
This holiday home for rent is located in Småland, approximately between the towns of Växjö and Mönsterås (on the coast) approximately between the small towns of Grönskåra and Fröseke, south-eastern Sweden (Småland). The next side road is about 600 m away, hardly used and not to be heard at the holiday home. Forests and lakes everywhere - just typical Småland!
The nearest lake is approx. 800 m away, it is a small forest lake (approx. 30 ha water surface) with jetty and rowing boat (motors not allowed). A really idyllic and quiet place - here you are completely alone and undisturbed. You can swim and fish here (fishing free of charge). Other lakes in the immediate vicinity for fishing and also for swimming. There are many opportunities for anglers here, including a river with salmon trout, the Alsterån.
You can also fish for salmon trout in Fröseke.
The holiday home can be reached directly by car, the car park is about 20 m in front of the house.
The nearest shop is in Fröseke, approx. 10.0 km away. The nearest petrol station is in Åseda. To Oskarshamn to the east coast it is about 45 minutes by car and to Kalmar you drive about 1 hour. Vimmerby, the birthplace of Astrid Lindgren, is about 70 minutes by car. The cottage is situated in the typical, beautiful, small village of Östra Rås in Smaland with a few houses which - although uninhabited - are in an idyllic, well-preserved condition. One feels transported back at least a hundred years when living here. The house itself is situated on a natural meadow of about 5000 sqm surrounded by two other, but no longer inhabited houses. Absolutely quiet location! The house has been lovingly renovated by the owner and has the latest standard !
