The Dümmer, only about 8 km away, is northern Germany's second largest inland lake and offers opportunities for hiking, sailing, surfing, pedal boats / rowing boats.
The Alfsee offers the possibility of water skiing.
The Damme tourist information website provides a lot of information about sports, culture and the surrounding area. The town of Damme has a population of around 1,000. Many hiking, cycling and riding trails invite you to take a tour or a ride around the Damme mountains. The town museum, the Höltermann watermill and the St. Viktor church are located directly in the town centre. Just outside (approx. 2km) is the mountain lake, the airfield and Dammer Schweiz. In addition, the second largest inland lake in Lower Saxony, the Dümmer, attracts visitors with many attractions.
