Location and surroundings of object
North Holland is a peninsula between the North Sea and the IJsselmeer. About half of the area consists of reclaimed areas (polders).
The province also Texel belongs in the Wadden Sea.
Story:
Archaeological evidence shows that North Holland (NH) n already in the time between 450 and 550. Chr. was inhabited. In the surroundings of Bloemendaal pots, jugs and bowls were found from this period that were imported to the findings of archaeologists from the Rhineland. Excavations have it that close in the 5th century trade relations between NH and the Rhineland passed [2].
Holland has long been a personal union (Dutch: personele unie), consisting of the counties of Hainaut (Dutch: Henegouwen). And Zeeland in the time of Johann II 1299. During the Eighty Years' War played the province of Holland an important role in the resistance against the Spaniards. After the "Unie van Utrecht" (Union of Utrecht, 1579) was part of the NH Republic of the Seven United Provinces (Republiek of zeven verenigde Provinces). 1807 Holland was restructured in the areas Amstelland and Maasland, which persisted until 1814 [3].
1840 the province was divided into North and South Holland. Only in 1848 could be directly elected by the population by changing the laws Proven prosecuted ex deputies (Lid van de Provenciale Staten). 1919 women's suffrage was introduced [4]. Sint Maartenszee is a village in the municipality of Schagen (until 2012 it belonged to the municipality Zijpe) in the province of North Holland.
It is north of Petten and south of Callantsoog on the North Sea and lives mainly from tourism, but still has the cozy and beautiful charm of a fishing village village is located near Sint Maartensvlotbrug and on the edge of the nature reserve "Het Wildrijk", known for its wild hyacinths and is known for the "Duinrellenproject" that supplies the area with clean water from the dunes.
lying on the border between Sint Maartensvlotbrug and directly in the village numerous campsites and bungalow parks, as well as a supermarket, several swimming pools, restaurants and an amusement park for children. North of St. Maartenszee extends the nature reserve 'The Swan', which extends to Callantsoog, here worth a trip to the Great dunes.

wunderschöne Erholungstage *
Liebe Fam. Mattern,
