Description
Almen is a beautiful house for a large family or several friendly families who want to spend their holidays together. Beautifully and quietly situated, surrounded by meadows and deciduous trees with a view of the lake. The area is an Eldorado for sport fishermen and nature lovers and here you will find peace and quiet. Here you can have an active and beautiful holiday with all comforts. The house has a large garden with fruit trees and lawn where you can play.
The house is well equipped. A living room with sofa (sofa bed for 1 person), TV, satellite (Astra), and wood fireplace. Dining room with wood fireplace and a large table with space for everyone. From these rooms you have a view over lake Åsnen. On each floor there is a modern kitchen with dishwasher. Also two toilets with shower and washing machine. Six bedrooms in total. Opposite the house is a well-kept windmill from 1890. Almen is opposite the house Kvarnstugan (the small red house), there is a narrow road between the two houses. There is also a store where you can store, for example, fishing tackle, boots, etc. The house is only 300 metres from the lake Åsnen. Åsnen is one of the largest fishing lakes in southern Sweden. You can catch pike, perch, zander and eel here. Here you also have the possibility to swim. Only 1,5 km away is a sandy beach with bathing and kiosk. There are roads to the lake so you can drive or walk. At the lake there are hiking trails with a beautiful view of the lake. Arrival preferably on Saturday.
!! You can also rent only half the house. Then the first floor and the living room and one bedroom of the second floor are rented. Altogether there is room for seven people. The other rooms are closed and not rented out.

Boats, 4.4 m long can be rented with or without motor (4 hp or electric).
Fishing permits can be bought at.

In Småland and around the lake Åsnen it is still exceptionally quiet. Here the tourist will find the right place to relax and escape from the daily hustle and bustle. There are many nature reserves.
Åsnen National Park is nearby. This park was established in 2018 as the 30th national park in Sweden
It is possible to rent a canoe, a rowing boat or a motorboat and take a trip on one of the lakes.
In addition, the large lakes Åsnen and Mien (and the many other lakes) are a paradise for fishing enthusiasts. Here you can catch perch, zander, pike and eel.
It is also possible to rent bicycles to explore the area and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
In addition, the many hiking trails in Småland offer the opportunity to explore the beautiful nature on foot. There are hiking trails in most of the nature reserves.
