This modern and comfortably furnished holiday flat in a quiet location offers plenty of space for 4 people thanks to its two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms can be extended with an extra bed. With the possibility of one person sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area, there is room for 6 people. There is also a travel cot for the little ones. So that you can cater for yourself perfectly, there is a fully equipped kitchen with cooker and ceramic hob, large fridge with freezer compartment, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave and dishwasher. The large dining table comfortably seats 8 people. The bathroom has a shower and a bathtub. You can spend the evenings by the fireplace with a beautiful wood fire.
When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the afternoon sun and the sunset on the terrace directly next to the flat, which is equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue. Since the building faces away from the street, you can let the little ones play on the lawn and always have them in view.
The village of Kranichfeld is ideal as a starting point for excursions to Erfurt, Weimar, Arnstadt and Jena or for a cycling tour on Germany's most beautiful cycle path, the Ilmtalradweg along the Ilm. Lake Hohenfelden with its swimming pool, boat hire, thermal baths and climbing forest is 5 km away. You can reach it quickly on foot through the forest or by bike or car. In the village there are numerous shopping facilities, restaurants and a petrol station. Bicycles can be rented at the tourist information 100 m away.

Quiet yet central location in Kranichfeld. Kranichfeld, the town of 2 castles, is located in the middle Ilm valley in the Weimarer Land, the heart of Thuringia. There is a castle on both sides of the Ilm River. The upper castle with its thick tower and the lower castle with its open-air theatre and falconry are well worth a visit.
The Baumbachhaus, where the poet Rudolph Baumbach, known for his song "Hoch auf dem gelben Wagen" ("Up on the yellow wagon"), was born, houses the tourist information centre, a café and an exhibition about Rudolph Baumbach.
The forest around Kranichfeld invites you to go hiking, along the Ilm you will find the most popular cycle path in Thuringia (awarded four stars by the German Bicycle Club as an ADFC quality cycle route) and at the Hohenfelden reservoir you will find an open-air swimming pool, boat rental, a climbing forest and restaurants as well as the Avenida Therme with a wonderful sauna area.
Erfurt, Weimar, Arnstadt and Jena can be reached quickly from Kranichfeld.
