For vermitten a cozy house in Tuscany near the sea (7 km) in a quiet location surrounded by olive groves and forests hill. The house is ideal for people who appreciate the tranquility and love nature. The house is fully self-contained: its kitchen with all necessary utensils, terrace with stunning views, private parking, private garden. It is a starting point for excursions to the historical sites (Massa Marittima, Venturina, Siena, Pisa, Elba). Scarlino has its own port (Marina di Scarlino).

Location and surroundings of object
It is an ideal starting point for excursions in the Maremma (Maremma Natural Park is a 40 minute entfernet, Castiglione della Pescaia is 25km entfernet). Florence and Rome are each 2-2 / one half hour away, Siena, Pisa and San Gimignano only 1-1 hours / one field. The house is located in a rural location.

Oasis of peace in the olive grove
The small cottage is located near Folonica in the south-west of Tuscany. It offers space for 2 people.
It is located on the landlord's large property in an olive grove. It consists of a large kitchen-living room with a folding coutchouc, a classic living room cupboard, a table with 2 chairs and the kitchen, all very cosy and functional.
furthermore, there is a small shower room in which everything works perfectly and is cleanly finished, a small storage room in which the fridge/freezer and the washing machine are located and a bedroom with wardrobe, desk and bed. The bed is quite small, I guess 190cm long and 160cm wide with slatted frame and very comfortable. The mattress is rather firm, not an Italian "hammock with back pain guarantee".
The best thing is the large covered terrace, with a view of the very beautiful surroundings.
The whole thing is situated on a mountain with the town of Scarlino further up. At least from the property you have a great view into the distance. From the terrace, you look more up the mountain, but you also have a nice wide view.
We especially liked the extreme quietness. You could leave the windows open all night (protected with insect netting).
The landlord lives about 40m away and is very reserved. There is a parking space for the car, protected from the sun. The access is about 300m on sandy roads and probably not recommended for lowered cars.
There are some very nice beaches nearby and, of course, very nice villages. The surrounding area offers very beautiful typical Tuscan landscapes, the cultural highlights are all a bit far away (Sienna 80km, Rome 220km, Florence 160km, Pisa 100km, nearby are Grosseto and Massa Marittima...)
The village of Scarlino is very pretty, within walking distance and offers the opportunity to eat well with a great view of the sea.
The only real negative point is that, contrary to the information given, there is no wifi.
For us, it was the perfect place for a holiday.
