If you like the cosy character of a cottage and still don't want to do without comfort, this individual wooden semi-detached house with its light-flooded living area, open fireplace and tiled stove, as well as the very solidly equipped kitchen, is just the right place for you. Here you will find a place of tranquillity in the midst of alpine meadows and fir forests at any time of year
The living space (130m²) extends over 3 floors. In the basement, which offers an additional living level due to the hillside location, there is a bedroom with 3 single beds and tiled stove with access to a separate terrace. Here is also a large bathroom with shower, tub and washing machine as well as the sauna. After a sauna session, cool off with a water shower on the area that cannot be seen or relax on the covered balcony with a view of the mountain panorama.
On the ground floor there is a guest toilet, the open kitchen and the living area, which is heated by a tiled stove. In addition, you can end the day comfortably at the separate open fireplace. The wood is at your disposal free of charge. From here you have access to the panoramic balcony, where you can sunbathe almost at any time of the year.
On the upper floor there is a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a reading chair. Here you can also retreat during the day with a mystery novel from the in-house 'library'.
The house is supplied from a spring with drinking water quality. The car can be parked dry in the covered carport, where you can also store skis etc.
On a south-facing slope on the edge of woods and alpine meadows, a spacious, fenced-in outdoor area with biotope and stream awaits you. For the cooks: peppermint, sage, thyme, lavender in the herb spiral may be picked! Several furnished wooden terraces with comfortable sun loungers are spread over the grounds, which are not visible and which you only have to share with fire salamanders and squirrels. Here on the southern slope of the Mirnock, the sunniest region in Carinthia, you have a wonderful view of the alpine panorama and can be completely for and with yourself. A holiday for all the senses!

An asphalted road turns into an unpaved forest path 300 meters before the house.
Please note when arriving in winter
The way up is completely cleared and is well passable with winter equipment, only the last 80 m are private road and must be cleared on your own. Usually this has already been done. However, in case of very heavy snowfall, it may happen that you have to clear the path. Shortly before your trip to the Almhaus you will receive information about the snow situation on site.
Leisure options
Hiking trails all around and up to the Mirnock start at the front door. The surrounding mountains are accessible for larger hiking and climbing tours via cable cars. Due to the proximity of Lake Milstättersee, you can reach numerous bathing and water sports facilities and other bathing paradises of the Carinthian lakes in 15 min by car. Downhill and cross-country skiing possibilities can be reached in 30 min., the widely ramified ski slopes around Bad Kleinkirchheim or the Görlitzen. For the younger ones there are: amusement parks, pony rides, go-kart track, summer toboggan run, adventure pool Spittal, gemstone digging etc. in the near surroundings.
Behind the house rises the mystical Mirnock, which - so they say - has many power points. Hiking trails start at the front door and lead to the Gingerhütte, which is open in summer. Or you can make yourself comfortable and drive up to the alp on the Lammersdorfer Almstraße, from where you have a fantastic view of the valley. If you like moderate exercise, the bay-rich cycling and hiking route around Lake Milstättersee is just right for you (bike hire at the entrance to Döbriach). Those who want to go really high will get their money's worth in the alpine atmosphere in the climbing area on the Dobratsch.
