Solid and quiet holiday home

The holiday house is located in a very quiet area. You can observe deer, rabbits, cats, and other animals from the house. One can really spend an undisturbed vacation here.
The landlords are very friendly. We were allowed to arrive on Sunday, even though Saturday is usually the normal day. Even smaller problems such as missing towels or defective light bulbs were quickly fixed.

The house corresponds to the description, is clean and well-maintained, and pleasantly cool in the summer due to the thick stone walls. It is equipped with everything you need. The coffee machine turned out to be a Nespresso machine and the guest toilet was just a toilet in the bathroom. We assumed from the description that there were two separate toilets, but for our family of three, it wasn't a big deal. A holder for the shower would be desirable so that you can also take a shower while standing and not have to squat in the bathtub to wash your hair.
We didn't see a playground near the house. But even without a playground, there is enough space and grass around the house. Wi-Fi is not available, but you can enjoy wonderful game nights in the house and on the terrace. :)
The manure pit next to the house didn't bother us. Although we had rain repeatedly, we couldn't detect any odor nuisance.

There is a lot to experience in the surrounding area. A paddling tour on the Enns river or a tour with an e-bike is just as recommended as the planetary hike, Kremsmünster Abbey, or a trip to Linz. The area is great for hiking, and for rainy days, there are excursions within car distances. We were out every day and could have done even more. In the cupboard in the living room, you will find numerous brochures with excursion tips.

Vacation with the dog

We had a wonderful time in the very authentic house, it was very relaxing. Highly recommended for a break, pure nature, decelerated tourism with very good infrastructure. The hostess was friendly and uncomplicated, we felt welcome. Thank you for the lovely time!

A perfect place for a break.

My desire to be offline for a few days, in a quiet beautiful environment, in the middle of nature, has been fulfilled in the "little house on the hill". Although the holiday home is equipped for several people, I felt very safe and comfortable alone as well.

Due to the unusually cold outside temperatures, my landlord had already heated up the tiled stove before my arrival. So I was welcomed with cozy warmth, cleanliness in every room and cosiness. Despite rainy weather and no car, the immediate surroundings offered me enough opportunities for walking for several hours every day.

For all those who want to slow down and become quieter for a few days to enjoy simplicity, this is an ideal and very beautiful place. I'd love to come back.

Beautiful relaxing holiday

A beautiful old rustic farmhouse.
Situated in a secluded location on a slope. With a great view of the Kalkalpen.
Very beautifully and appropriately furnished inside. With a great tiled stove. Clean and tidy! The landlords are very friendly and helpful. And we were even allowed to bring our 2 medium-sized dogs
We had a lovely and relaxing holiday.

rustic cosy

We were there for a fortnight, the landlords were really nice, everything clean, lots of nature and a beautiful location. A house where you can feel how simple and simple it was many years ago, when it was not yet a holiday home but actually a home. Everything has been lovingly brought up to date. We felt very comfortable. A small terrace in front of the house with a view of the countryside invites you to linger. The farmer's wife's bread is highly recommended!

Small rustic house with charm

Arrive and be warmly welcomed ! This feeling was conveyed to us by our landlords, the Hornbachner family. Here, where tradition and enthusiasm for nature are at home. Surrounded by the idyllic Hintstein, our very personal favourite place. Stocked with natural jewels as far as the eye can see. We could experience a lot here! What could be more beautiful than these very special moments in nature. Hiking to your heart's content, letting go of everyday life, feeling the soothing silence. Take a deep breath, rediscover the decelerated life.
In the middle of the picturesque mountains lies the small but fine farmhouse, lovingly furnished, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need for a carefree holiday!

The bathroom is a gem of a special kind! But take a look for yourself, it's a little dream ! A loving restoration with a lot of attention to detail! It is a pity that there are people who do not recognise these special features

When the sun invites you to breakfast on the terrace in the morning, you are amazed at the magical view of the mountains!

A very big thank you to our lovely landlords, who actually spoiled us with delicious char filet and were always grateful for tips and suggestions for improvement. We can only recommend this accommodation ! Enjoy the wonderful ambience and the always obliging and cordial landlords!

Einzigartige Hütte

Sind mit großer Freude in unseren Urlaub gefahren und wurden sehr enttäuscht. Urig lieben wir ja, aber dass was uns da erwartete definiere ich anders.
Wenn man einen direkten Einblick von der Küche ins Badezimmer hat und man alle Geräusche und Gerüche von diesem in der Küche mit erlebt,  ist das sehr fragwürdig und unhygienisch!!! Dann war in der Annonce ein Bad mit Wanne und Dusche beschrieben, vorhanden war nur eine Wanne mit Dusche. Da ich körperliche Einschränkungen habe musste ich mich die ganze Zeit nur am kaputten Waschbecken waschen. Der Spiegel war auch defekt. In den Schränken war es dreckig und vermüllt.
 Dem Ganzen hat dann noch ein Güllebecken (ca.3m Durchmesser/ unabgedeckt) direkt am Haus die Krone aufgesetzt!! Nach dem Regen war die Geruchsbelästigung fast nicht auszuhalten.
So etwas als Ferienunterkunft anzubieten ist frech und dreist. 
Wir haben unseren Urlaub nach einer Woche abbrechen müssen, es sollte die schönste Zeit im Jahr sein und sie wurde zum Desaster.
Die Lage war wunder voll, aber alles andere nie wieder…..

Rustic cottage to switch off

Me and my two girls 14 and 16 spontaneously decided to go away for a few days. When we got the confirmation by phone, we immediately got into the car and drove off. We received a very nice welcome, with bright sunshine. It was exactly as we had imagined it. Very clean, everything available, to feel good and to let your soul dangle. The landlord gave us fresh milk and vegetables. The area and the view were simply wonderful. Even if it was only for a short time, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and will return to the extended family. We would like to come back again, but then for longer.

Great cabin vacation

Those who seek tranquility will love this hut. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to this lovingly furnished hut, it was a dream. We rested very well, the bread and milk from the nearby farm of the family were tasty. Many activities on site, also possible with lazy children. Or simply read a book in the sun lounger at the hut and enjoy the view and tranquility.

Familienurlaub in einer kuscheligen Hütte

Wir können uns den Bewertungen vom Juli und August 2021 nur anschließen! Auch wir haben hier wundervolle drei Wochen Ferien machen können. Zurückhaltender Tourismus, bei großer Hitze empfiehlt sich neben dem Bergbad (wundervoller Ausblick in die Kalkalpen) auch der glasklare Bach am Wanderweg: Im Tal des Holzes in Richtung Reichraming. (Einfach bis zum letzten Parkplatz fahren.) Zwei Regentage wurde von meiner Familie dankbar genutzt, um sich in der Hütte es sich richtig gemütlich zumachen, Kaminfeuer, lesen, spielen, schlafen, ein bisschen fernschauen. Und dann wieder ab in die Berge! Besonders genossen wir das stets ausgedehnte Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit freien Blick auf die Berge. Die Herbergseltern sind sehr unkompliziert, wenn etwas fehlte, wurde es sofort beschafft. Auch die Besitzer des Floß- und Kanouverleihs in Großraming sind sehr liebenswert. Eine Kanoutour ist auch sehr empfehlenswert! Die Liste der tollen Möglichkeiten rund um diesen zauberhaften Ferienbauernhof ist noch lange nicht vollständig. Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert, wir haben uns sehr erholen können! Herzliche Grüße von

Pure relaxation

We can only recommend this beautiful cottage. Everything you need is there, clean and cozy. In the evening, you can cook and heat with wood on the old wood stove. Here you can relax your soul, go hiking, swim in the clean streams, go canoeing, and there's a climbing rope garden nearby for the kids. Our dog also felt very comfortable. All around are meadows and forests. You can eat well and cheaply nearby. Especially recommended is the Gasthaus Stanger "zur singenden Wirtin". The trout from Berta, our landlady, were also very delicious. Thank you. We will definitely come back again. (Vacation with 2 children, 11 and 15, and our Vizsla)

Große Empfehlung!

Sehr schönes eingerichtetes Haus mit dicken Steinwänden, das auch an heißen Tagen angenehm kühl bleibt. Großzügige Sitzmöglichkeiten drinnen und draußen. Super nahes kleines Klettergebiet (12 Minuten zu Fuß vom Haus). Schöne Wanderungen ganz in der Nähe (z.B. Wanderung zur Ennser Hütte sehr zu empfehlen). Die Enns ist super nah und lädt zum Baden ein.

Die Vermieterin war sehr nett und hat uns sogar vom Bahnhof abgeholt und zum Bahnhof gebracht. Außerdem verkauft sie ihren Gästen Eier vom eigenen Hof (dort haben wir sogar von der sehr freundlichen Familie mit Kindern eine kleine Führung bekommen) und sehr leckeres selbstgemachtes Brot.

Insgesamt toll und einfach absolut zu empfehlen!

Super schöne Hütte.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Bauernhaus mit Liebe zum Detail. Wer einfach mal eine Auszeit benötigt, ist hier richtig. In der Unterkunft war eigentlich alles da, was man braucht.
Wir können diese Unterkunft empfehlen, ist bestimmt auch im Sommer toll!

Traumhaft schönes Wochenende

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Bauernhaus lädt ein zum Genießen. Unterkunft war super sauber, alles vorhanden was das Herz begehrt (inclusive Nespresso Kaffeemaschine wer mag, sonst auch Filtermaschine). Tischherd erlaubt das zubereiten köstlichster Speisen in alter Tradition und gleichzeitigem Heizen von Bad und Stube, Holz sowie Griller ebenfalls vorhanden. Die Terrasse hinter dem Haus bietet einen wunderschönen Ausblick und lädt auch abends geschützt durch die Hauswand auf ein Glas Wein ein. Den morgendlichen Kaffee genießt man bei wärmender Morgensonne vor dem Haus. Wer mag bekommt bei der Gastgeberin sowohl Milch als auch Brot zu kaufen. Ein Auto ist empfehlenswert, da der nächste Laden etwas zu weit zum Gehen ist. Man kann sowohl Wanderungen direkt vom Haus aus starten, als auch in der näheren Umgebung mit ca 15-30min Anfahrt lohnenswerte Gipfel erklimmen. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr offenherzig und hilfsbereit, Schlüsselübergabe als auch Abreise hat super funktioniert. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen und werden sicher wieder kommen, sowohl im Sommer als auch im Winter, da man hier sicher auch sehr schöne Schneeschuh-Wanderungen unternehmen kann. Immer wieder gerne!!

Erholung pur

Wir haben uns in dem von innen sehr schön renovierten Bauernhaus zwei Wochen lang sehr wohl gefühlt und prima erholt! An Ausstattung ist das Wichtigste vorhanden (kleiner Tipp: Abtropfständer für Geschirr wäre noch schön)!
Wenn man gerne wandert, Fahrrad fährt und in kalten Flüssen badet, ist man hier genau richtig! Viele Grüße an die Familien Aschauer und Hornbachner!

Gemütliches Bauernhäuschen zum Abschalten und Erholen

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem erholsamen Urlaubsplatz und haben in 100%ig gefunden.
Das Ferienhaus ist wunderschön an einem Hang gelegen, von der Terasse hat man einen tollen Blick auf die umliegenden Berge, abends konnten wir Rehe auf dem Feld ganz nah beim Haus beobachten.
Im Ferienhaus selbst ist alles für einen entspannten Urlaub vorhanden, Küche mit Kühlschrank, Backofen, Herd, Mikrowelle und Kaffeemaschine.
In der näheren Umgebung gibt es viel Natur zu bestaunen und zu erwandern, da
wir unmöglich alles in diesem Urlaub entdecken konnten, werden wir gern wieder kommen.
Nochmal einen ganz lieben Gruß an die Vermieter, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Erholung pur

Das etwas andere Ferienhaus.
Sehr uriger alter,restaurierter Bauernhof in toller Lage . Sehr zu empfehlen für Familien mit Kind und Hund.
Auf den weitläufigen Wiesen rund ums Haus können Kinder und Hunde gefahrlos herumtollen.
Rehe kommen fast bis ans Haus.

Sehr schöner, erholsamer Urlaub

Das Ferienhaus liegt etwas abseits, genau das Richtige, wenn man mal einfach abtauchen und sich vom Alltagstrubel erholen will.
Das Häuschen hat viel Charm und ist liebevoll, wenngleich einfach eingerichtet. Aber es bietet Alles, was man zum Wohlfühlen benötigt.

Für einen Herbsturlaub sollte man bedenken, dass das Häuschen keine Zentralheizung hat, sondern über den Kamin zu heizen ist. Dieses gibt dem Ganzen aber einen sehr romantischen Flair.
Auch dasselbstgebackene Brot der Vermieterin vom nahgelegenen Bauernhof ist sehr zu empfehlen.
Gern kommen wir mal wieder!!!

Die Region bietet sich sehr zum Wandern an, hier ist der ehemalige Bauerhof ein sehr schöner Ausgangspunkt.

Wunderschöner Urlaub mit Kind und Hund

Sehr schön hergerichtetes altes Bauernhaus mit uhrigem Ambiente.
Wer etwas besonderes, aber dennoch nicht ganz abgelegenes Ferienhaus sucht ist hier genau richtig. Das alte Bauernhaus liegt an einem Südhang in Alleinlage. Bis zum Stammbetrieb sind es zu Fuß ca. 5 min ( mit Kleinkind) und dort gibt es alles was ein Bauerhof zu bieten hat: Kuhstall, Heuboden, Hühner, 2 Schweine und ganz liebe und nette Gastgeber die einen mit frischen Eiern und Milch, selbstgebackenem Brot und Gemüse versorgen. Wer einmal die Möglichkeit haben möchte mit anzupacken darf dieses gerne tun und unsere Tochter durfte mit auf den Melkstand, ein Erlebnis von dem sie noch Heute berichtet.
Das Haus ist mit den Gegenständen des alltäglichen Lebens ausgestattet. Neben einem Ceranfeld hat man hier die Möglichkeit auf einem Holzofen zu kochen.
Vor dem Haus befindet sich eine Terrasse mit einem rustikalen Tisch und 2 Bänken. Hier kann man am Morgen seinen Kaffee genießen und Abends den Grill anmachen.
Sollte man doch einmal etwas vermissen so sind die Gastgeber jederzeit ansprechbar und helfen aus.
Es war für uns ( 4 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind und 1 Hund) ein wünderschöner Urlaub und wir haben uns Alle sehr gut erholt.
Kommen bestimmt wieder !

Wir waren rundum zufrieden

Wir wurden äußerst nett und freundlich empfangen und begleitet. Frische Eier, Brot und Milch haben wir genossen. Vom Vermieterhaus gesehen, waren wir auf eine Scheune gefasst, aber es erwartete uns ein äußerst uriges 200 Jahre altes Haus mit vielen alten Details innen und außen. Dennoch war innen alles so modern, wie es ausgeschrieben war und alles Geschirr und Küchengerät ausreichend vorhanden. Das Tiefkühlfach fehlte, war aber wegen der nahen Einkaufsmöglichkeit überbrückbar. Der Clou war die Mielewaschmaschine im ehemaligen Stall, die wir erst gar nicht fanden.
Auf dem Land muss man mit Kleingetier und manchmal Landgeruch rechnen, für uns war es kein Problem. Es gibt überall Fliegengitter und es war alles pickobello sauber, als wir kamen. Wir fanden den Preis angemessen und freuten uns über das Entgegenkommen, nicht an einem Samstag an- und abreisen zu müssen. Wir haben das Haus unseren Freunden jedenfalls wärmstens empfohlen, wenn man wirklich Ruhe und Erholung sucht. Bei uns stellte sich dieses Gefühl am 1. Tag ein.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Für Wanderer ideal, liegt schon ca. 500 m hoch, Wanderungen bis 1400 m möglich. Liegt abseits und ruhig mit schönem Ausblick. (Vermieter ist nicht so nah, wie man aus dem Foto schließen könnte.)

free time activities: Auch für Jugendliche Möglichkeiten: Floßfahrt, Fahrradausleihe, Freibad. Sicher noch mehr, haben wir aber nicht gebraucht. In der Touristinfo in Speyer, wo wir nach Angeboten für Jugendliche fragten (wir meinten eigentlich Stadtführungen), wurden wir sogar als erstes nach Großraming verwiesen (wo wir ja grad herkamen).

shopping facilities: wie angegeben in ca. 4km Entfernung Lebensmittelmarkt, Sportgeschäft u.ä. In ca 7 km Entfernung Spar und auch speziellere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie Optiker u.ä.
