Our holiday flat is operated completely CONTACTLESS !

The holiday flat *Gehoeft-No-X-to-Peccatel* was newly opened in May 2012 and completely renovated in spring 2016. It has a separate courtyard entrance with a locked parking space. You can reach our holiday home via its own large fenced-off outdoor area, so that a dog can also romp around in its own holiday home yard.

The holiday flat is located in a Mecklenburg hall house built in 1836, which is thatched. We have made sure that old materials are used again and to bring the history of the thatched Mecklenburg hall houses a little closer to you with the apartment and the house. Our house is a listed building and can therefore be found on the district's list of listed buildings.

With the income we primarily try to maintain the house and gradually expand it as well as restore other areas to their original state in order to bring them closer to the visitors


In this way, you can contribute to the preservation of the monument at the same time as your booking, whereby our motto is that the prices are affordable for everyone.


Details of the holiday flat:

A very special accommodation in an old listed thatched house on the edge of the Lewitz and only 5 km from the state capital Schwerin.

You can reach the holiday flat, which is located to the south of the house, via its own courtyard driveway.
The apartment is located in the hall house and in an annex to the hall house. This apartment has its own entrance through which you enter the spacious hallway with adjoining toilet. From the hallway you enter the large kitchen with a beautiful dining area. The bathroom can be reached from the dining kitchen. This is equipped with a large ground-level shower, which also has a tiled bench. From the kitchen you reach the spacious living room via a small hallway, which is also located in the old part of the house. This is equipped with a comfortable leather couch, as well as satellite TV and DVD player. In addition, the holiday flat has a free internet connection via WLAN. The leather couch can be converted into a double bed. Finally, there is the large bedroom, which offers a sofa bed in addition to the large double bed with bedside cabinets and a large wardrobe. In this apartment, ceiling heights of less than 2 m are possible in some rooms due to the building style.

Ideal for self-catering:

The fully equipped kitchen with cooker, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and extensive cooking utensils offers everything a self-caterer could wish for.

For those who prefer to be cooked for, 1 restaurant and a snack bar in the village offer variety. In addition, you can eat in a romantic Dutch windmill in the village of Banzkow, 2 km away.

Electricity, water, parking, internet etc. are ALL included in the price of the overnight stay !!!!

Of course we offer our guests a WLAN hotspot free of charge, which works on a VDSL router with MBIT line.

Location and surroundings of object

The holiday flat is located in a listed thatched house built in 1836, also known as the Mecklenburg Hall House. The house is located on the historic village square in the centre of Peckatel, where Mecklenburg Vorpommern's oldest and smallest half-timbered church stands. The village square is surrounded by old thatched-roof houses and is very quiet.

This is the ideal starting point for excursions to Schwerin, whether by car or stress-free in 10 minutes by train, which departs hourly from the small local train station about 1 km away.

Our apartment is located on the edge of the LEWITZ bird sanctuary, which you can explore beautifully on the many cycle paths and circular routes. Many rest areas and cosy places like the hunting lodge Friedrichsmoor invite you to stay.

A brochure rack with many ready-made routes and hiking maps is available in our holiday home.

Our village Plate/ Peckatel is located 5 km from the state capital Schwerin and only 45 km from Wismar and the Baltic Sea. The nearby A14 motorway takes you to the Baltic Sea, such as the Baltic Sea resort of Boltenhagen, within 40 minutes.

The Störwasserstrasse runs through our village, along which you can walk along old towpaths and cycle paths, or even better, explore it by bike. As this waterway is the only access route for ships to Lake Schwerin, there are many ships to admire and great locks and lift bridges to visit ! We would be very happy about a visit.

We are happy if you feel at home ! Plate is a municipality in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim. The municipality of Plate is divided into the districts of Plate, Consrade and Peckatel.
The community lies 4.5 kilometres southeast of Schwerin and eight kilometres southwest (as the crow flies) of Crivitz in the Lewitz landscape conservation area. The Schwerin-Parchim railway line runs through the municipality (Plate stop). Plate lies directly on the Stör waterway, which is crossed by a lift bridge that is immortalised in the municipality's coat of arms. The source of the Bietnitz lies to the north of the village of Peckatel.
In Plate there are various shopping facilities, restaurants, post office, doctors, etc.!

After the deposit has been paid, payment of the remaining amount is due 14 days before the day of arrival. In the case of bookings made at very short notice, the full amount must be paid on arrival

You can withdraw from the contract at any time. The withdrawal must be made in writing. In the event of cancellation up to 90 days before arrival, the deposit will be retained as compensation. In the event of cancellation between 31 days and 89 days prior to arrival, 50 % of the full tour price is payable as cancellation costs.
In the event of cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period, 70% of the full travel price is payable as cancellation charges. (Amounts already paid in will be charged in each case.) In the event of cancellation less than 10 days before the start of the rental period, 90% of the full tour price is payable. (Amounts already paid will be charged.) The date of receipt of your cancellation notice counts in each case. Die Liebe zum Detail fehlt

Wir sind am Samstag angereist und fanden die Wohnung in einem völlig verdreckten Zustand vor. Das Geschirr war dreckig, die Küche hat geklebt, auf den Regalen konnte man sehen, wo etwas stand, das Radio wollte man nicht anfassen und überall waren Spinnweben. Das Gartenmöbel ist schon sehr abgelebt, ein Sonnenschirm wäre auch nicht schlecht und der Grill war noch mit Schmutz vom Vorgänger versehen.
Die Wohnung von der Größe her ist völlig okay, das Grundstück ist vollständig eingezäunt, was für unseren Hund sehr schön war. Es liegt total ruhig und für Erholung genau das richtige Objekt.
Nachdem ich dem Vermieter die Mängel per Mail mitgeteilt habe, wäre es schön gewesen, wenn man mal persönlich vorbeigekommen wäre, zumal die Grundstücke genau nebeneinander liegen. Der Kontakt belief sich aber nur auf den schriftlichen Verkehr per Mail. Das war sehr schade.
Wenn die Wohnung mal einer ordentlichen Grundreinigung unterzogen wird, lässt sich dort ein toller Urlaub verbringen. So war es nur abstoßend.

Coronabedingt wird unsere FeWo komplett kontaktlos betrieben, weshalb ein persönlicher Kontakt derzeit ausgeschlossen ist, was bitte akzeptiert werden muss.

Urlaub

Die Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen, es müsste ein bisschen investiert werden, die Küche ist verschlissen, es fehlen Hängeschränke und Dunstabzugshaube, etwas mehr Geschirr so dass nicht täglich gespült werden muss, die Elektrik sollte überprüft werden und etwas hellere Beleuchtung wäre schön, räumlich ist die Wohnung schön geschnitten, Preis Leistung passt wenn die kleinen Änderungen gemacht werden, das Dorf ist sehr schön und bis Schwerin ist es nicht weit

Hallo Monika, vielen Dank für die Bewertung. Jedoch müssen wir richtig stellen, das sich ein kleiner Anbau am Reetdachhaus wie auf den Bildern zu sehen befindet, in dem das Bad und die Küche sowie ein kleiner Eingangs-Flur mit der Eingangstür zur FeWo, fließend in das Reetdachhaus übergehen. Somit sieht man im Haus sehr schön die Originalwände in der Küche und den Unterschied zwischen Anbau und Reetdachhaus. Dies kann man aber auch sehr schon in der Bildergalerie bei den Flur oder Küchenbildern sehen.

Das Reet durfte nur aus Denkmalschutzgründen über den Anbau liegen und daher erkennt man es überhaupt als Anbau, was aber genau dem Charme zwischen MODERN trifft ALT wiederspiegelt, den wir auch in der FeWo versucht haben mit Akzenten herauszuheben und der Schwerpunkt auf dem Originalzustand eines Mecklenburger Hallenhauses von 1836 mit kleinem Anbau von 1910 wiederspiegelt.

Nach vorheriger Anfrage kann man direkt bis vor die Tür fahren und muss nicht am Parkplatz stehen bleiben, auch wenn das nur 60 m sind , jedoch muss man über ein Nebengrundstück fahren um bis vor die Tür zu kommen, weshalb wir die Wohnung auch nicht für gehbehinderte Menschen anbieten, obwohl die Wohnung barrierefrei ist.

Wir freuen uns trotzdem das es Ihnen gefallen hat .

Great ambience

We stayed in the flat for a week before the actual opening on request and are absolutely thrilled. The flat has been lovingly decorated with great attention to detail. The surroundings are very quiet and pleasant, and it only took us 12 minutes to get to the centre of Schwerin by train from the nearby station! We will come again!
